Michael Mcintyre, John Bishop and Kevin Bridges are on it, they make me laugh.

 

Anyone find Jonathan Ross funny? I've seen him on his BBC show and presenting the Comedy awards and don't find him funny at all, same goes with Jack Deepressed and Alan Carr.

Got tickets for John Bishop at comedy store in a few weeks as part of his warm up for his tour. If I wasnt out on the piss tonight diddles id be watching it too! 4od it tomorrow in a hungover stupor!

Watched John Bishop at the MEN. I'd rate it as 4/10. A lot of unoriginal stuff, plenty of regurgitated stuff from his TV appearances last year and his plastic scouse accent grinds. That said, if he was only on a 20 min routine at the Comedy Store, I think he'd be tolerable.

 

Jack Dee is decent. That's the point of his act Dids, he's meant to be deadpan. Bridges is quality.

Don't watch much telly so i quite enjoyed bishop at men.

 

All a bit too family orientated comedy for my liking though.

I think 'Comedy' Gala was abit misleading.

It should just be called a Gala - can't even call it a Talent Gala with the awful NDubz making an appearance .... have turned to BBC2 instead ...

Bit of a late reply here, but I caught the last episode of Stuart Lee's Comedy Vehicle the other night.

 

I used to watch him years ago and couldn't stand him. He was doing awful catchprase comedy on Lee and Herring at the time.

 

I can't believe the transformation over the decade or so since I last saw him. An absolute master of his craft now. Controlled, intelligent, witty and original, and light years ahead of anything on the Comedy Gala.

 

If like me, you've not seen him in a while, I implore you to give him a watch. An absolute gem he's turned into.

I might just do that, Kent.

 

I've not watched any of his more recent stuff, because of how shit he used to be.

See, I think Russell Howard is funny, in a charming naive kind of way. He has a very nice way of looking at the world. I hated him when was first on Mock the Week, but I've seen him live and it was very, very funny.

 

But then I like Duncan Thickett too......it's meeeeee Duncan, don't runaway, don't runaway!

 

And my favourite Duncan Thickett gag.......I don't like cakes from yesterday....I like current buns

Have to agree with kent_white and with Carlos.

 

Stewart Lee does this bit about modern observational comedy and rips current exponents apart.

 

His delivery is quite unique, the way he repeats a certain phrase or sentence for emphasis/sometimes mock emphasis i think is brilliant.
