I now need a people carrier, what are the cheapest second hand ones as I know nowt about cars.

My ex told me when he was as kid, his mum and dad used to go away down Cornwall with him, sister 1, sister 2 and grandmother in a volvo estate. 2 in the front, 3 in the back, my ex in the boot with the dog back to back with the back seat.

No problem.

Got an estate already, we have had a sudden and unexpected addition to the family which means I need another seat.

Holy shit Jomo and I agreeing on cars.....

 

My old man used to have one of these and there's 3 seats in the back and 2 comfortable seats facing inwards in the boot with belts - took 7 of us to many a long away game in it, including Gummers and his Dad.

People carriers do bad things to men. Not only do they suck out their souls, they also turn them into lunatics. Some of the most aggressive drivers on the roads can be found behind the wheel of a Scenic or a Picasso.

 

Edit: Serious point to add though. I'm sure I ince saw a Top Gear/Driven type programme and they absolutely slated the old Scenics and the like as if anyone is in the very back seats and you get rear ended, there's barely any protection for them at all. Basically, they're sat in where the boot should be and the only protection is the door behind them.
