No doubt he'll put Knight and Robinson back in, I still don't understand how Coyle rates Robinson.

I suspect having five in midfield helped.

When a player gets dropped for fuck all and has to wait 6 months for a game it's no wonder he was not up to speed when called on, far better than knight that's for sure just wish it would Dawn on coyle.

He got 'dropped' because he was 1 booking away from missing the FA cup Semi-Final. He didn't have 1 bad game and was excellent while Knight was recovering from injury.

 

But when Knight 'filled in' till that Semi he had a great game and so Coyle kept him in for the Stoke game and that was it.

 

Wheater has not had a fair crack in my opinion and I believe is a much better footballer than Knight!

Boyata's not really a right back though. The only reason he's playing there is because Steinsson is a liabilty and Mears is injured. Boyata might improve, Steinsson won't.

Apart from both full backs and Zat Knight,our back 4 is fairly decent.

Seriously though, opposing managers team talks must be on the lines of "get it out wide right,their left back ain't much cop" and to be honest thats what most teams seem to do. As much as i like Robbo as a "character" he's a fucking liability most weeks.

I still feel it's further forward that is not helping the cause. When our forwards are giving the ball away up top so easily and our midfield is then over run it's not helping a admittedly weak defence

Defensively we're currently the worst in the league - do we have the worse RB 2 x CB and LB in the league no I don't think we have but they really don't defend well as a back 4 unit at all well 3 out the 4 in Knight, Robbo and Steinnson unless they are playing with a lot of confidence are barely able to carry out their own jobs effectively without thinking about covering for others it's a vicious circle - we need mears, wheater or boyata, cahill and gardner or a.n. other in at LB all fit and playing before it's too late Knight, Steinnson and Robbo have failed to deliver on far far too many occasions enough is enough
