Gordon Taylor

There's just something about him that I can't stand. I know he's the PFA Chairman but it seems that he can't ever bring himself to ever admit that a player has ever done anything wrong. Although it might just be his voice that annoys me.

..Except at Nat's funeral where he spoke eloquently

I wonder if his constant defending of obscenely paid players is in any way related to the fact that he is on ?1m+ a year as their union boss?

just typed a long post about him, but decided to delete it, suffice to say, I think he's a cunt who is good at his job.

Which is probably why most people think he is a cunt. I used to think he was ok but recently his unbending support of complete and utter wankers with far too much money and lawyers to bail out any indiscretions has begun to grate a little, which may be another reason people think he's a cunt. Or perhaps he just is an absolute cunt of the highest order, all be it an eloquent one, who knows how to market himself.

Of the three I'd go for none in particular, but suffice to say, he is a cunt.

He was a popular player for us in the 60s, and ever since then I've been proud to think that an ex-Bolton player is working in such a high profile job.

Sure I read once about him being on the embankment with his brother as a kid at the Disaster. They got split up and his mum was scared shitless until they both got home.

Saw a brief bit of him last night and was surprised by how neutral he was in his comments about Tevez; given his role I think he was actually wanting to say "I reckon he's a complete tosser, but I can't say so" or words to that effect.

Must be difficult to play the polititian all the time, as it undoubtedly alienates some people.

He could be a tool though

I dont mind the fella, his speech for nat was heartfelt, not every footballer is a rich wanker

he defends the top players because some of them actually do some good that we dont see,

Born in 1944, I doubt he was there

He's a bolton fan and an ex bolton player....

but he's also a cunt

at least he's our cunt

Gordon Taylors mode of transport :good:

He probably does a lot of good work looking after lower league players. It's just that it's only the aformentioned greedy millionaires troubles that is newsworthy enough.

He's a bolton fan and an ex bolton player....

this is no consolation

My most vivid memory of Gordon Taylor playing for Bolton was in a match at Burnden just before Franny Lee left. He must have said something insulting to Lee because Lee ran over and grabbed him by the throat. I'm sure he would have strangled Taylor if Brian Bromley hadn't dragged them apart.

GT sounds like a nonce.
