If OC wasn't an ex player then he would have been hounded out by now but I think he should be given the next 4 Prem games and then reviewed. There can be no sentiment in business and BWFC is a business.

 

Carlo Ancelotti was on Radio 5 this morning saying he would come back to manage in the Prem again. Could he be our saviour if OC is released?

True but we had much more quality then was it Anelka who scored the goal? over the last 3-4 years we have reduced the quailty of players in the squad to such and extent that 70% of them are Championship quality. I just hope most of them are out of contract should we drop so that we do not have championship players on premiership wages. There is no way we should even be mentioning Megson with BWFC the man was shiiiite.

about a month before megson went, we played city (3-3) in a game as good as owt coyle has managed

 

that was the time when the 'fans' should have been backing the club, but oh no, it was still 'lets wait til we next play a bad game and we'll be shut of him'

 

theres been a month of good stuff under coyle, and very good it was though the warning signs were there (trying to give away 3 goal leads) but generally its been more of the same - better points return early last season cos elmander was scoring

In Megson's best season we got 1 point from a possible 42 against teams in the top seven.

i can think of at least 3 blocks made by our centrebacks that stopped 'certain' goals and a very high class save by jussi

They did dominate the second half and had us under a lot of pressure but to be fair, their 2 goals were a mix up and a lucky break of the ball and then a second late on when we were going for the 1-1, which should have happened when Pratley missed a glorious chance.

 

At 0-0 I did think a goal was coming for them and they would have deserved it, Wheater saved us with the block and I thought we defended quite well, but we gave them too many chances to come at us, and eventually it's going to break our resistance and Sessegnon was the fortunate player in the box. It could have fell anywhere, they got the lucky movement of the ball, but they deserved that piece of fortune in a crowded box.

Ok lets be realistic. To stop the rot, would you bring in Megson untill the end of the season?

 

Say what you want about Megson's teams, but he could atleast get the basics right and set a team up. Mainly to defend, but even he would never go 4-4-2 against ManU at home. The man did indeed have many flaws, but I'd feel a hell of alot more confident if he was in charge right now. What i see every week at the Reebok (as do many others) is any basic kind of organisation; players running into one another, players being played out of position when we have adequate back up on the bench and not being able to defend anything beyond our mid field.

 

Under OC we are a joke right now. Norwich and Sunderland, should have given us points on the board. After every game OC sugar coats what we've all seen. We don't deserve anything, and the truth hurts. Lack of effort, lack of conviction and lack of team work and accountability deserves nothing Owen.I'm fed up of hearing every week about how we never 'perform to a level we know we can do.'

How so? Do you know what would have happened in the passage of play that would have followed had he headed it.

We might have scored or they still might have.

Whilst I in someway agree with your point, even if Robinson did clear it, there was still 8 minutes left and going off the rest of the game before that, I'd imagine it would have still been Sunderland pressure and I don't think you can say for certain that we would have, we may have, yes.

 

A different final part of the game evolves if the ball doesn't fall for Sessegnon, going off the rest of the game, it'd rather be us resisting the pressure, scoring a counter goal or Sunderland getting another chance to score, which they take.

Ok, obviously with 8 minutes to go anything could have still happened but if he makes that simple defensive header then we would have had a much better chance of getting a point than how he fucked up.

Its easy to blame Coaching staff, training etc but you would expect lads turning out on a Sunday morning not to make basic errors like that let alone pros.

Coyle isn't to blame for the mistakes, maybe for selecting these players, but you can't blame him for basic errors the players make which mean we concede like Jussi against Man City for example, pathetically letting Silva score, in that game Man City were dominant, but the 1st goal was down to a mistake, even if we are always the weaker side during the match, we've not helped ourselves by giving the other teams early Christmas presents.

Wouls Steve Mclaren stop some of players from making the most basic errors like that defensive header from Robbo? I dont think Jesus Christ himself could stop that.
