Can't disagree with much on the Sun' thread, but as difficult as it is (and possibly deluded!) I am going to try and look forward to the trip to the emirates, taking my lad there for the first time.

 

Would like to see 4-5-1. Kakuta, m. Davies, klasnic and Gardner in.

You can all try and pick a team for Saturday but everyone seems to be forgetting the fact that barring injury Davies and Robinson will start, so you just need to pick the players to play round them.

 

For what it's worth I would pick Jussi, Boyata, Cahill, Wheater, Gardner, Muamba, Reo Coker, Pratley, Ngog, Tuncay, Petrov (4-3-3) but I expect the following Jussi, Boyata, Wheater, Cahill, Robinson, Reo Coker, Pratley, Petrov, Davies (K), Ngog, Eagles.

why does robinson HAVE to play

Because Alonso is not up to scratch and it's unlikely that Gardner will play 2 games in 5 days..... Maybe???

Obviously Coyle didnt see Gardner as his 1st choice left back before the Arsenal game. The problem he has with Gardner is if he would have had a blinder at Arsenal, he is unlikely to play 2 games so close to each other.

 

Gardner could well be in with a shout after Swansea but its a massive injury risk to play him before then
