SpiritofBurnden
Can't believe no one's mentioned 'Chinatown'. Best film in the entire list in my opinion. Great soundtrack and Jack Nicholson's superb in it and the twist at the end pisses all over the one in Angel Heart, which as everyone's already said isn't really much of a twist at all. After all Robert De Niro's character is called 'Louis Cyphre'. Gedditt?

Moderators Zico Posted December 9, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2011 A Clockwork Orange (1971) Chinatown (1974) Misery (1990) No Way Out (1987) Oldboy (2003) Requiem for a Dream (2000) Se7en (1995) Shutter Island (2010) The Mist (I) (2007) The Ring (I) (2002) The Life of David Gale (2003) The Orphanage (2007) The Skeleton Key (2005) Total Recall (1990) Twelve Monkeys (1995) Thems the ones I recommend, in particular the bold ones As for endings, possibly the best one out that lot is The Mist - it's a decent enough watch for the most part, but the ending comes out of nowhere - ace

Site Supporter barryk32 Posted December 19, 2011 Author Site Supporter Share Posted December 19, 2011 Right, had hard drive problems so had to put this on hold but all up and running again. Just watched Primal Fear. Brilliant, utterly brilliant, even better than Fight Club which is the same concept. For anyone that has seen it, I really wasn't expecting that at the end, it was very clever.
