Best thing ive bought in years

The White Russian by Tom Bradby.

Birdsong by Sebastian Foulks.

Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

A Thousand Splindid Suns as mentioned in a thread elsewhere on here.

All good thought-provoking unputdownable books.

Brad Pitt is going to ruin the film version

Yep, but by the sounds of it the writers of the film have already done a good job of that though

Michael Connelly Harry Bosch, and if you can read them in order, brilliant (american detective bit like choir boys - wambaugh , if you like that sort of thing

Just bought the latest , the drop, still consistently good

If you like British policing, Peter robinson, set in 70's 80's when you could still have a fag in a pub, and a pint was real ale, and wine drinkers were a minority !

Always any mo hayder, Simon kernick, and a really good oldie, the boys from brazil - ira levin

Mona

Just reading Pig Island by Mo Hayder. A bunch of tourists in a boat accidently film grisly goings-on a scottish island. Pissed up Bolton fans in Wanderers shirts. Honest! They take no further part in the proceedings mind.

Walking down the Manny Rd - read the 1st chapter, decided not to bother with the rest. Will be givin it back soon to the lad who forced me to borrow it.

Good reads - Jo Nesbo - Norwegain who writes about an Oslo cop called Harry Hole who is an alcoholic.

Been recommended Peter James - the 1st two have arrived today so will give them a go soon.

Prob been on here before but if you like Horror then try "Let the right one in" by John Ajvide Lindqvist - Swedish writer. The filums are good too (Swedish & Yank).

I think someone has already mentioned World War Z - really enjoyed it. His other book was shite.

Another recommend is "The Passage" by Justin Cronin. Its 900+ pages but well worth sticking with. Its the 1st part of a trilogy, part 2 is released next year, part 3 in 2014.
