December 5, 201114 yr The White Russian by Tom Bradby. Birdsong by Sebastian Foulks. Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. A Thousand Splindid Suns as mentioned in a thread elsewhere on here. All good thought-provoking unputdownable books.
December 5, 201114 yr Brad Pitt is going to ruin the film version Yep, but by the sounds of it the writers of the film have already done a good job of that though

A bunch of tourists in a boat accidently film grisly goings-on a scottish island. Pissed up Bolton fans in Wanderers shirts. Honest! They take no further part in the proceedings mind.
December 6, 201114 yr Walking down the Manny Rd - read the 1st chapter, decided not to bother with the rest. Will be givin it back soon to the lad who forced me to borrow it. Good reads - Jo Nesbo - Norwegain who writes about an Oslo cop called Harry Hole who is an alcoholic. Been recommended Peter James - the 1st two have arrived today so will give them a go soon. Prob been on here before but if you like Horror then try "Let the right one in" by John Ajvide Lindqvist - Swedish writer. The filums are good too (Swedish & Yank). I think someone has already mentioned World War Z - really enjoyed it. His other book was shite. Another recommend is "The Passage" by Justin Cronin. Its 900+ pages but well worth sticking with. Its the 1st part of a trilogy, part 2 is released next year, part 3 in 2014.
I'm struggling to find a good book. I have quite a broad taste in genre. Ta
