0 has to be rat shit on the work surfaces and staff rubbing their bellends on food

1 is a pebbledashed shitter next to the kitchen with no hand washing facilities, cockroaches in every corner and a fridge like something out of the Young Ones

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...

Except Polio?

Who said that? Was is Peter Ustinov?

On the topic of food hygiene - seemingly by far, the worst repeat offender is the Pizza Hut chain, Google the search term "Pizza Hut mouse droppings" - you might as well Google "List Pizza Hut restaurants UK".

There's a rumour the E.H. don't bother with on-spec visits in Blackpool because of the sheer number of places serving food. Maybe Gonzo can confirm if this is true or an urban myth...

Or was it Mr D's?

I know way back when Bolty was in short pants it was the Painters Arms....

Had my first ever sup of 'dirty beer' in The Painters - cup final day 1981. Double Diamond if I recall correctly. It was a popular boozer with all the old Catholic Club crowd and I used to get taken along by my old boy every now and then.

My one and only experience of Achari lasted the time taken to take get seated at a table, have a look around and take a piss (in the traps, not whilst sat at the table). Couldn't believe how filthy it was as i had read rave reviews. There were 4 of us and we were the only ones in - sat night ...

We were practically chased down the street by the staff begging us to go back offering all sorts ...

Just been on Achari's site to book a table for tomorrow night. On their site it proudly boasts that food hygiene inspections are regular and un-announced. We always pass with flying colours. It shows an official FH rating sign of 5*. On the a official FH rating site it says it was last inspected 12 months ago and gives it a 3* rating (generally satisfactory), hardly flying colours. This curry house was forced to close a few years ago because it had been cooking, serving and preparing food with no running water.

This is a public information post.

*I didn't book*

It surely has to be the longest period of time between posts on a thread ever

For what it's worth, I've been a few times recently and haven't had any issues

The contradictions, or "misinformation", in their food hygiene rating is the issue I suppose. With their previous Indiscretion it's not a good look.

*Just to be clear. I'm not saying the kitchen staff lick the pots and plates clean after service.........
