  • Yes, MT, I follow the Oirish too.   But I'm at Bangor all day tomorrow, then on the lash in Wrexham! But, if I get chance, I'll find some pointers for you and shove them on here on Sunday.   But,

How can an 11/1 shot in a field of that size be 2/1 to be placed?! Now I know how Betfair makes its money!

  • If you took those stats from Mal's piece, that'll be over the last two years, mate.

Avonvalley is drifting like a barge: I've taken a small saver bet on Running mate.

  • Author

Avonvalley ended up being a good E/W bet: finishing 2nd at 11/1, whilst the 4/1 I grabbed on Running Mate proved a good investment.

I've just picked out Avalon Bay as a 7/1 E/W bet for a bit of interest in the last race (8.55)

Avalon Bay ran well enough, but faded badly in the final furlong, finishing 6th.

Happy enough with my day, though.

the lad who gave me the 25/1 yesterday what come third has put this up today 4.50 Wolverhampton, REDINESSENCE 38/1 EW (small bets) I aint got a clue where he got 38/1 from but i got 20/1 this morning.

It's 38's on betfair.

Looking at its only other run and its bloodlines etc: I'd say it'll go well in the future.

I'm not sure as today will be that day, though.

Ah yes, I know of the guys behind WE.

They lost an absolute shitload at Cheltenham.

Tell me about it, like i said your tip from the stable saved my bacon. I never go daft at Cheltenham, its a bit of a lottery :)

No, what I meant was...

They tipped up a shedload of losers at Chelters on that WE site, but they picked another different shedload of runners (also losers!) for the same races on another site.

It's an unfortunately common practice in the "tipping" game.

They strike me as part of the "throw enough shit at a wall" brigade and don't offer enough explanations for their "tips".

If I post any on here, I'll be more than happy to explain my reasoning, if asked.

Didn't know about that, fuckers !!

Nicely done for all those on it tonight.

Just like I said to BB the other night, just because they drift in the market doesn't mean they can't or won't win.

Tonight's came in at 12/1. :D

I've just taken some of the 7/4 (BOG) on offer from bet365 for Apothecary in the 7.10 at Wolverhampton on Friday night.

And don't forget that Prohibition (from post #1 of this thread!) runs in the 5.20 Lingfield: current best price is 11/4 (also with bet365)

Any big meetings this weekened pal?

Do you only bet singles? I like a Lucky 15 when it comes to the horses.

  • Author

Biggest meeting on Saturday is at newbury, but I'll be going abroad to watch the races.

(Bangor-on-Dee!)

As for my bets: mainly singles, yes.

At the risk of repeating myself: multiple bets are the bookies pension funds.

They offer attractive extra bonus on winning Lucky 15's.

Why do you think that is?
