Featured Replies

Which Watch With Mother and other 10-15 minute children's TV programmes do you remember?

Some were shown at about quarter to six just before the news.

Andy Pandy

Hector's House

Pogle's Wood

Rhubarb & Custard

mary Mungo & Midge

Little Joe (at the transport cafe)

Tales of the Riverbank

hatty Town

Mr benn

Magic Roundabout

Woodentops

Bill & Ben

Lambchops

That one with Mrs Honeycomb, was it Camerwick Green?

Trumpton

Woodentops

captain pugwash

steaming into trumpton with a cargo of cocaine

chigley

the herbs

Andy Pandy was lunchtime and my mother had to stop putting on as when he went into his toybox and waved goodbye I went into an uncontrollable crying fit till some time mid afternoon.

I was a sensitive child apparently.

Mary Mungo and Midge was the programme to let us know how poor people lived, which was pretty right on back then, wasn't it?

I wonder if Rhubarb and Custard would be just as good if I watched it now.

the herbs

Herbidacous! There were definite undertones to that one...

Fourgates County Primary we all got filed in to watch Camberwick Green in th'afternoon. But the key was to have nipped home for lunch and seen it first time round, so that when betting started on who was coming out of the music box you'd be rolling in penny chews :good:

Watch with Mother had a different programme each weekday. The aforementioned Andy Pandy, Woodentops, Bill & Ben plus Picture Book and Rag Tag & Bobtail

For some reason I always thought Madeline was the doll version of Angela Rippon.

Yes, and a frog that's keeping his arse firmly afixed to his chair for fear of a visit from LW.

This fucker! As with The Herbs there were clearly ulterior motives going on with all them missiles disappearing into holes etc

The terrific adventures of the terrible ten, some aussie gash i watched in the sixties about some lads building a tree house, give me the Eastern european stories all the way, and a bit of Pippy Long Stocking showing her keks.

Has anyone mentioned Heidi?

Dum dum der dum dum der dum dum..........(that was me singing the theme tune by the way)

Oh, bugger, this should be on the foreign one.

I'm blaming Leyth and his East European talk.
