I've just had the same email and replied to them asking them to close my account down and explain why thet think sending this type of email out is a good idea....not expecting much of an answer, but we'll see.

I have done a little research into this and basically when the money is still in a betting account for a certain amount of time the goverment are entitled to claim it. This is why 188 Bet have put this into their terms and conditions so they can claim it before the goverment do.

I've had the same e-mail and didn't understand it but this thread has cleared it up for me..

I tried to last night but there is no obvious way of doing it on the site. You can suspend your account but to actually close it I imagine would have to be done through customer services.

If you go on 'live chat' on their website, ask if you can delete your account once you get connected to someone. They should email confirmation once it's done.

(site seems pretty busy at the moment).
