Early I know, but as there is no football on this side of the pond of any interest this season, I'll get cracking with our high fiving meatheads from across the divide.

What I'm really after is who people think are likely to win the divisions, so I can put me bets on.

The Cleveland Browns are my tip division-wise, and maybea sneaky outsider for the championship.

Other than that, I assume the usual Packers/Patriots/Giants trifecta will be there or thereabouts?

Grrrr. Gridiron.

giants again, another slow start and click at the right moment.

you can't go wrong with that trifecta as they will be there or thereabouts , texans and the egales too, althought mike vick has just got an injury not sure how serious it is.

I'll stay away from your browns tip though spider :D

Early predictions based on pre season perfomance,

AFC - Patriots, Texans, Broncos and toss up between Ravens and Bengals

NFC - Giants, Packers, Texans and 49ers

Some outsiders - Saints, Falcons, Bears, Steelers, Jets

The NFC is a bit more predictable than the AFC.

The Browns?

Wigan stand a better chance of winning the premier league.

I can see the Steelers, Ravens and Bengals all going through from the AFC North again.

I give it 4 games til Tebow is Starting QB for the Jets. Sanchez has been shite in the pre-season games so far.

I can see the Lions and Falcons doing well this year.

It pains me to say this but I think the Ravens will win the Superbowl this year.

Tebow strikes me as a bit of a cock.

However, happy to see the Jets win it. Sanchez just doesn't seem to have what it takes.

Tebow had been a cock for ages. I first decided so when he had bible quote numbers on his black paint during his time as a Gator.

But he has the media hype behind him. I think we're on for a repeat of what happened in Denver.

Also the NFL gamepass is the single greatest non-porn use of the internet.

Was it as good as Steve McClendon's one handed sack of the dog killer last week?

After the Steelers game against the Colts it looks like Andrew Luck is going to be the real deal.

I've not seen it, I'll have a look later, it was in the first play of the game though

If the Steelers are to make the playoffs they had better hope for a wildcard. They have some serious issues in attack. Ben rothlisdick has a conflict with new attack coach, Wallace and Mendenhall are big doubts. Have a feeling it wont be Steelers year.

As for Jets, neither QB are good enough.

Lions have also had major issues off the field with players getting banged up, and a shaky defence. Some of the best attack in the league though.

Ravens will be strong as will Texans. Bengalls on their tail also. Saints could find themselves affected by bounty gate and will need Brees to shine again.

My own opinion, can see both Packers and Patriots going the distance but losing out to 49ers. Though being a Vikings fan I cant wait for Packers to fall on their cheesy faces.

Oh no, not a Viqueen. Didn't know we had one of them on here.

Apart from the Bears, the worst mob for Titletown envy.

Wallace can fuck off Antonio Brown will be the Steelers #1 receiver this year anyway. With Sanders and Cotchery As excellent 2 and 3.

In Miller, Saunders and pope there's three very good tight ends

Between Isaac Redman and Chris Rainey the running game will be good too.

Mendenhal was on his way out anyway before he got injured. Too much dancing around behind the line of scrimmage.

The issue for the Steelers will be if the young offensive line can keep Rapey Ben protected.

Before training camp and the OTA's everyone had decided that, because Roethlisberger didn't want Bruce Arians to leave and Todd Haley has a reputation for being a bit of an abrasive character , they'd not get on at all.

By most accounts they've got on fine.

Christian Ponder and the shot Adrian Peterson carrying the Vikings offense? I think you've even less of a chance than the Browns.

I am under no illusion that Ponder et al are just a work in progress. I will be happy with 4 and 12. which is one more than last year. Vikings are still lacking a secondary although draft has gone some way into repairing that. We are in a division with some of the most explosive attacks in the league.

Peterson will not be rushed back even though he wants it.

Anybody who thinks that Vikes are going to be playoff contenders this season wants their head testing.

Time will tell, but I still think Steelers will be third in AFC north. 'Steelers' football is going to be hard with such an ageing squad. They dont seem to have changed much after being mauled by Broncos last season. Bengalls have been going for youth over the past couple and Ravens will be just tough to beat. I just think Steelers need to regroup.

As for the rookies, Andrew Luck is looking like the real deal for Colts but they will be a couple of seasons to get back.

Sticking with 49ers to go all the way.

Bolt meister. Thought that might get your attention. I lived in Minneapolis for a short time but didnt know enough about football to buy into that mentality. Until I went to Soldier Field. What a bunch of whinning wankers. I now live in Michigan and have to put up with the 'come out of the woodwork' Lions fans.

Only pulling your leg mate. Spent a lot of time in Milwaukee with a former job - the main reason for the Packer and Badger interest. Of 2,000 people at that factory, only the top man (a Bear!!!) and one of the senior engineers (Vikings) were anything other than Packer fans. Those two had an 'interesting' time! Every fcuker called the Viking fan 'Viqueen' - that's where I got it from. Nobody had the bollocks to give the president too much stick but he was a good bloke and either won massively on match bets between the two or took a financial hammering! The other football related one I recall is the 'forty whiners' which always tickled me.

Unlikely you have ever been lucky enough to visit Lambeau but, if you get the chance, do it. Like Burnden, one of those places that, even empty, makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. Been lucky enough to be there on 3 occasons and watched them once at Milwaukee County Showground (they use to play there 3 times per year but canned that in the early 90's).

Yet another touchdown free game for the Jets last night.

There's something enjoyable about seeing the Jets fail, not as much as when things go wrong at the Pats though.

Oh it does make me smile too frank :D
