October 25, 201213 yr I actually think Ferdinand was well within his rights. The kick it out campaign is a charity, whilst not trying to deflect from the work they do, it is what it is. If he thinks that charity isn't doing what it should then why should he not be able to say no. I'll hazard a guess it was never written into his contract that he should wear a tshirt. So the idea of ferguson liking his player to wear the tshirt, whilst probably having no contractual agreement to do so is nice, means he can do fuck all. If your boss told you to wear a tshirt that supported a charity you didn't agree with, would you?

Bigger picture is who cares if it's not in his contract (and it may well be that e has to support nominated charities / causes and brands that the club do anyway!) folk should do what they're told to do

Yes we don't like the Ferdinand brothers for whatever reason but at the end of the day they are voicing their opinions about a cause that they, and others who refused to wear the tshirt over the weekend, feel strongly about.
