January 23, 201313 yr Not directly at you, Jazza wrote something along those lines (probably whilst 'in drink'), a few had a go at him, then during a post of yours that somewhat supported Jazza's viewpoint, you referred to 'that lot'* - referring to the ones who'd had a go. Like there's some wishy-washy, ban 'Ba Baa Black Sheep' and teach 'Elton and David' instead of 'Peter and Jane' in schools, Cabal on here... Edit: * I went back because I don't want to misquote you, you didn't refer to 'that lot', this is the bit where I construed you think there's a nest of 'right-on' lefties here... Apology accepted. Now then, with a demographic like WWays, you aren't suggesting that there isn't a bunch of commies on here, are you? Easy to spot.
January 23, 201313 yr Bolton School didnt close on Monday...................... But one the primary schools very close by did................ Same circumstances for both with the exception that the kids going to Bolton School had to travel from further a field. So why the different outcome do you think? Because with £1000s in fees each year from most of their pupils parents they can/have to provide a better service than free schools.
January 23, 201313 yr Apology accepted. Now then, with a demographic like WWays, you aren't suggesting that there isn't a bunch of commies on here, are you? Easy to spot. I still think a lot of folk think I'm 'Youri Djorkaeff'...That lad who used to post on here who was a Young Socialist idealist, one who hadn't been bitten by reality... I'm apolitical really, they're all in it for themselves - and a set of cunts to a man (or woman). If Maggie and Arthur bit the dust in the same week I'd be torn as to which grave to do a jig at...
January 23, 201313 yr If Maggie and Arthur bit the dust in the same week I'd be torn as to which grave to do a jig at... You could do both: I intend to.
January 23, 201313 yr Maybe if you say it enough times, they are. I should really try and put fact or mention whipped cream & cherries at the end. That might do the trick.
January 23, 201313 yr Where's the old favourite Guardian 'where your taxes go' link? It'd be interesting to see how much as a percentage of tax goes toward education and how this compares with private school fees...

January 23, 201313 yr Where's the old favourite Guardian 'where your taxes go' link? It'd be interesting to see how much as a percentage of tax goes toward education and how this compares with private school fees... Let's put it this way, whatever I'm paying in education I've either already got out or it's now going to somebody else. I have no issue with that at all & can't imagine any sane person would but to say it's free is just plain bloody daft.

I have no issue with that at all & can't imagine any sane person would but to say it's free is just plain bloody daft. I was just genuinely curious that's all. We all pay tax for society as a whole, that includes unpalatable things like supporting a feral underclass. I can't think of anywhere else I'd live (for good, as in emigrate, for good). I think sometimes people lose sight of this, all of us. Also, regarding the ferals, and going off on a bit of a tangent, we all get pissed off with our taxes going on welfare payments, but the noticeable ones, the ones who get us steamed up are probably still in the minority. We only notice the scumbags, we don't notice the likes of Leigh White and others who've put in etc. because they just go about their business with decorum. I've been thinking about this a lot recently, I've no idea why, perhaps the optimist in me is painting a brighter future than the one that's sometimes painted. This 'Broken Britain' the politicians keep going on about - I reckon it's bollocks.

Trouble is, very little is going to people like him as they're not from that subculture. It's the ferals who make a career of it who are a problem. There may be less fo them but I'm sure it's more than a little irking for those working who have less than them.
January 23, 201313 yr It is, but that's the price we pay for universal benefit. I don't like the idea of someone deciding 'deserving' and 'undeserving' cases. I don't like the idea of social-engineering that's bordering on something the Nazis would do either - but I think the ones who are breeding as a career should be rewarded for not breeding, I don't know how they'd work this, and the 'commies' would be apoplectic. I can't see how a slide into generational underclass can be halted otherwise. This bedroom tax, surely it'll just force them into living communally and breeding like rats (I'm getting more frenzied and eye-poppy as I type this, my other hand involuntarily twitching skyward in a type of salute. I'm going for a cup of tea and to calm down). Edited January 23, 201313 yr by Youri McAnespie

I'm sure you'd not like that, but it might stop the piss takers. & if you think I'd be happy to reward Shaz with money just to make sure she takes Johnny Bags out in her handbag, you can fuck off!
January 23, 201313 yr Give them an incremental rise every year they remain childless, or don't add any more (to their first, or second maximum). They can't claim it was some Nazi like programme of sterilisation (incentivised or not). They'd simply have chosen not to have children in order to increase their benefit. It's genius, it'd stop long-term claimants spawning a new generation of long-term claimants and be cheaper in the long run.

January 23, 201313 yr If we didn't have universal benefit - who'd decide? How would you set limits? A points system, a questionnaire - like they do for disability? * What is Pesto? a. A quick and nutritious dinner ingredient. b. Someone who mithers you in Benidorm. * Who is Elizabeth Duke? a. Was she an Abolitionist? b. The Patron Saint of Bling. etc.

This may be too Machiavellian but if you've never put in or at least done some sort of traning, why are you taking out?
January 23, 201313 yr Nowt, because you've got a job. Edit: And you're a bloke, why would we incentivise a deadbeat to not be a deadbeat dad? Okay, how's about if I I quit tomorrow, shirley that'll mean I'm entitled to something? You'd better give me something or I'll be impregnating a girl per night until you cough some money up. See, it's all a bit silly innit.
