Think Virgin and BT, amongst others give 5GB free, depends who you're with. If you have a mate who''ll share storage space this may be worth a go, I use it for backing up family pics to a remote pc.

Google 'Play Music' uploads up to 20,000 songs. Free on Android, less than a quid on th'apple.

I'd just be careful of being locked into one particular supplier, especially if it means you have to stay with your ISP.

All of my 10,000 songs, bar 30, have been uploaded. I've got mainly mp3's, but loads of aac and other stuff.

i'm probably asking for too much, but i don't want to stream it

 

i want to download to a device using wifi before i go out

i don`t think you can do that easily/quickly? the upload/download speeds are not great AFAIK.

you wouldn`t want to be passing the files up and down between devices on a daily basis anyway.

 

i think what you`re getting at is you want to access them without an internet connection? or at least select some and then access them without an internet connection?

you may be able to have a sync copy of all your files on a linked device (local stored) but without a lot of pissing about i think its all or nothing

 

please feel free to tell me i`m talking shit folks but thats as i understand it

For example, Netflicks runs on Amazon's cloud, so technically there's no problem streaming from it.

 

It's better quality that Amazon's own Lovefilm, which is all fucked up!

Just been playing around with this Google music. You can actually download songs, alums, playlists etc. when you do have a wi-fi signal to the device. Best of both worlds?
