June 2, 201313 yr Sorry Oli but Walkden has got to be one of the worst grounds in Bolton League. Horwich has (or used to have) a big hill near the boundary which just didn't make sense. Why not dig it out or make the pitch smaller. I do think that most clubs are jealous of walkden's success. Walkden's ground does need some work but think that is the case in most clubs. Played with 10 last week because none of the second team would step in.
June 2, 201313 yr I was chatting to a few people yesterday and it is agreed that there are problems in the club. it feels like the 1st's are not really connected to the rest of the club. There is only one 1st team player at the moment who has come through the junior ranks at the club! Our 2's are struggling at the moment but every player in there has come through the clubs junior ranks.
