Play Offs

who do we want rid of

i might say brighton cos they're our biggest threat next year, but it was a cracking trip

watford cos its, well, erm, watford but they've abused the loan syatem

leicester are twats

palace cos its the arse end of the world, but again a good swill

i'd say brighton - bournemouth can step up, but prepare for the wankfest if any one of the 3 southern jessies makes in

A good day out had in Ramsbottom was my memory of that day ha ha.

You went to watch Rammy United ?

If Chelsea draw at home to Everton on Sunday, and Arsenal win by a single goal at Newcastle, both Chelsea aqnd Arsenal will be on 73 points with a goal difference of +35.

If thie above happens with Arsenal scoring 2 more than Chelsea (2-1 & 0-0, 3-2 & 1-1, 4-3 & 2-2, etc) they will also have the same goals scored and be tied in third place.

Since third qualifies directly for the Champions League Group Stage, whereas fourth goes into a qualifying round match, the tie has to be broken. Head-to-head would favour Chelsea, but Premier League rules apparently don't take this into consideration and a neutral ground play-off would be needed.

Wembley is the obvious venue, especially considering the clubs involved, but is probably not available because of the build-up to the Champions League final, the Championship play-off final and the England v Ireland match.

(And Chelsea have 2 friendlies v ManCity in the USA booked for 23 & 25 May!)

I believe both Reading and Brentford think they have the worst play-off records...

Preston have had 8 unsuccessful attempts in the play-offs (from 8!)

Those odds still look about right to me. Just means some clubs massively under and over achieved this year.

Reckon we'll be down for 6th this coming season with the bookies.

Scrap that, didn't read they were last July's.

Just shows what a mad league it is when the 3rd least fav's for promotion are in the play off final, Watford aren't too much higher either

I feel even more confident and excited than last season, this could mean nothing. COYWM!

If you managed to predict the 3 promoted teams this year then you would have got either 660/1 (Watford going up) or 1560/1 (Palace going up).

If the 3 teams the bookies fancied all went up then you would have got 39.5/1.

I had Hull to finish in top 6 at 7/2. Thought it a cracking bet. Unfortunately teamed it with Swansea to get relegated.
