  • He can tell his grandkids he had the worlds most expensive footballer in his back pocket one day at the reebok.   He never gave bale and inch that day and marked him out of the game.

Steinsson absolutely loves BWFC

He told my mate that he supported BWFC for years before joining

No I know they all say stuff like that, but he is walking the walk and has been at a lot of games. Not all though as I believe he's also scouting. Can't remember who for like.

Fair play, he seems a gooden to me.

Speaking of which

When are you making an appearance Youri?

I remember meeting him on a night out after Newcastle away and he was spot on having a chat with me for 10 mins and got me a drink.

How come he's retired anyway? Nobody fancy him or injured or 'lifestyle' not conducive to being a professional sportsman? I know it's not always cut and dried but it saddens me when they finish early, I'd be clinging on until I was back on the park again.

When I don't have a missus anymore. ;)

His postcode in Iceland was BL3

Actually it was 580, which could be twinned with Astley

I wonder if he's involved in editing his Wikipedia? This seems awfully specific and has a bit of a barb to it...

Grétar married his former wife Manuela Ósk Harðardóttir in 2007 and got divorced in 2011. Manuela has one son from a previous relationship. Manuela will get 50% of Grétars wages while he plays as a footballer until she marries again or gets a full job.

I know the Icelanders always seem to have a bit more to them an' all (meaning they're not thick as pigshit away from the game) - happen it's him doing the editing (not that it's that difficult)?

At the height of Megsons reign Megson told all the players there was no need for any players to go to the open/funday pre-season only 1 player turned up and that was Steinson, he was genuinely gutted no other player turned out, he rang Kevin Davies and persuaded him to turn up, top man for me, it was sad how quickly he lost form at the end of his Bolton career, his performance at Blackpool was unbeliveably bad, in fact I cannot remember too many worse performances from a Bolton player over the last 20 years.

gerald cid against everton (i think) was the worst football i have ever seen.

I know what Garrp is saying about having his wages comandeered, but playing for about £200 for a tinpot team, surely you wouldn't be arsed tipping half that up - each to their own I suppose.

As for his ex, she's alreet :) but, for me there's only one of 'our' (term used loosely) player's missus that I'd (eventually) donate salt for...

I saw steinson in the club shop the other year buying his kids the home and away shirt.

It was just after we beat Blackburn away,I followed him out of the shop and said "cracking game other night mate" he just looked at me clenched his fist and "common" and got his car.

Top guy...
