Cycling

Featured Replies

I've recently had a knee op and the surgeon recommended cycling to strengthen it so im on the look out for a decent road bike that I can use several times a week.

Anyone on here into their cycling and if so can you point me is the direction of a decent cycle.

Cheers.

Decathlon are decent value, I'm fancying a new Boardman.

That's a Halfords brand.

Would suggest a hybrid, no more than £400. You can get a bike for less than £200 but it will probably knacker quicker than your dodgy knees.

It is, or at least they are available from Halfords. Which puts me off.

I thought that at first but it is a brand sold there. My mate who has 5 bikes at 3k a pop (yes he is mental) reckon if you are not doing competitive riding they are bob on. I have the hybrid comp. fucking great. Love it

Boardman make very good bikes. Very good.

Shame only halfords sell em.

Have wiggle stopped doing them? I need to get myself a shiny new pump

Penis?

Yes, Boardman make good value bikes, made up with my cyclocross. Halfords no longer flog them, however.

Second that recommendation for Decathlon. My Mrs got her road bike there and the spec is bloody good for the ££.

Buy a second hand boardman comp hybrid for about £300 off eBay.

Excellent bikes and will be like new.

That'll be me pissing everyone off in the local later with that earworm.

It's a fucker ...I drive past it going to training Fridays that' is in my head all night....

I did the London to Paris in September with work to raise money for charity. Never done it before and only did a few practice runs, it killed me, ha ha

Bought a good second hand bike off my best mate for £600, never been on it since and don't plan too either, ever!!!

It's yours for £500

It's a Trek with Ultegra gears, means fuck all to me but apparently that's very good?!

Was serviced just before I bought it and I only did circa 300 miles on it

Fuck that. That miserable cunt doesn't deserve customers.

I've got a boardman comp 2013 model. My mate who's got a very expensive road bike said its spot on for what I need it for.
