I might be getting a bit giddy but we are 6 point off the Roverrrrrrrrrrs with 4 games to play.

How good would it be to do um?

Id love it after some of the shit iv got from lads at work earlier in the season.

Considering they still had play-off ambitions before the weekend's game,. it'd be a good effort to get above them.

I just want Blackpool to go down and Preston to come up.

It's all I ask.

Makes you think how close we could have got if we'd got our act together quicker.

First 10 games killed us.

We're top 6 on form since then.

If only we could create our own season

Pilley at Fleetwood would have a cheeky grin!! He was mates with koko a T b/pool and wanted to invest in them before he backed Fleetwood but oystons turned him down..I go to a lot of fleetwoods home games(I know) and they are pissing theirselves at the prospect for next season.

Have you seen their remaining fixtures?

 v Yeovil

@ Birmingham

@ Charlton

v Wigan.

They are 4 points away from the play-offs with a poor goal difference.

I hope we do overtake them, but currently we must be outside 20,000/1 to reach the play-offs, whereas they are 20/1..

No easy games in this league. :D

No easy games in this league. :D

True but....

First 10 games killed us.

We're top 6 on form since then.

bar the Reading game mind

inc the reading game, isn't it?

aye, it was part of the run, but I doubt many top 6 teams get dicked 7-1 in the manner we did

point being, you can ignore the first 10 games and think we're as good as play off material, if you want

in fact, discount the first 10 games, and we're 9th (a point off the play offs)

take just the last 6 games, and we're 2nd

as we've learnt not to read much into how we end a season as to how good we'll be next

but, being positive, I hope it continues

If you take away the first 10 games we have averaged 1.53 points per game. Reading in 6th place over the whole seaon have averaged 1.52 points per game so yes without the first 10 games we have been in play off form - just!

Ifs, buts & maybes.

I think it's a given that averaging 2 points a game will get you promoted. 1.5 pts a game might get you in the play offs.

Counts for fuck all if you don't do it for 46 games though, does it?

On top of this, our recent ok form has been done on the back of 5 loanees!! Not our own squad, so I fail to see the positives really.

I will be looking for the positives in pre-season though. My glass isn't half full, it's not even half empty, I think I've spent most the season paying to drink off others dregs.

Looking forward to another cracking away on Friday though :D

my glass was dirty so i sent it back as i couldn't see what was meant to be happening

just waiting for someone to give it a wipe

What has DF averaged over his time here?

going off wiki that says 84 games, 30 wins, 29 draws and 25 losses - 35.71 win percentage

that's 1.41

which gets you just outside the playoffs somewhere from 7-12

like last season

and this season, ignoring the first 10 games

75 league games so far for DF.

W27 D26 L22

36% Win percentage and 1.43ppg

And at Palace?

Seems that 2 of the 5 are allegedly pretty much signed for next year (Trotter and Danns) and Juke is top of the Summer shopping list, hopefully the loss won't be as noticeable.

Newcastle once lost 1-9 (after leading) at home to Sunderland, but went on to win the league title.
