I'd go with previous comments, we can't afford a big squad so someone who can play in a few positions is invaluable.

From all reports, his best game was when he was played as a defensive midfielder, he can pick a good pass.

We should play him in the number 10 role

 

When Liverpool won the league title in 1965-66, Tommy Smith played as a false 10 (apart from three games at 4).

Twelfth man Geoff Strong had eleven games as 4, three as 8, two at each of 2, 10 and 11, one as 6 and one as the (only) substitute at 12, plus four Cup Winners Cup at 2, 4 4 and 8, and 11 in the Charity Shield.

Maybe we could introduce a new trendy tactical position for him?
