A mate of my Dad's owns a lovely apartment (apparently) on the outskirts of Sunny Beach and he says I can use it for free. He usually charges about £250 a week for rent.

 

Obviously just the flights and transfer I would have to pay out for, which seems a bargain, but I just get the impression it's a bit of a dump! Has anybody been and is the place actually OK?

 

I think my Dad's mate said the apartments were called Flora Park.

I think most on here have been to Sunny Beach, as it is obviously where we were for our game against Plovdiv

 

I've only been the once, I won't be going back

I didn't mind the place, just found it a bit dodgy with the locals - that was almost certainly because a thousand + pissed up football fans from Bolton turned up.

 

I've known people go for holidays and really enjoy it. I'd give it a go as freebie but just for a week in case it ends up being cack

It seems quite popular with the usual package operators etc these days, and still dirt cheap while you're over there. Would be interested to hear any recent reviews as its on the 'possible' list for going away with the Mrs and t'lad for next year's summer holiday.

A girl I work with went with her husband and came home after 2 days because it's a shithole and they live in Darwen.

Went about 5 years ago with the family, right at the end of sunny beach, hotel called 'marvel'. Nowere near as bad as some make out, i didnt see any pissed us yoofs the whole 10 days.

 

Cheap as fook to get too, and cheap their, all depends what you and want and what can afford.
