Best Pub You've Ever Supped In

Probably been done to death but...

Love the Kings Head in Deane, proper local, good beer, good Bolton folk.

Probably say the best one to date is the Old Neptune in Whitstable - ace on a summers day by the sea.

The Hyde Tavern in Winchester runs it close, found it the night before Eastleigh away, roaring fire, pork scratchings, bliss.

Lower Nags Head on Deansgate. In the late 80s and the bell sounded for last orders and it was a cue for everybody to start scrapping on the dance floor, and if you didn't want a scrap you could stand round the edge and watch and cheer

For some reason I thought you were the same age as me. It was Oliver's in my day. Still loads of scrapping though. :)

Surely this gaff and Swannies were potential death traps.

Edited by no balls

Aye, remember it being Oliver's too. Can't think why I put it in this thread cos it's certainly not the best pub I've been in. Sheffield Tap could be a contender though or any pub in the world with decent ale and beer garden on a sunny day

Boars Head Churchgate in me yoof. Love the Watering Hole in Perranporth.

The Royal at Tockholes. They host my fell race and there's a massive after race piss up. Two open fires, chip butties, decent ale and a lock in until silly o'clock.

The Crown in Darwen is another current favourite. Good live music every weekend, a good pint and the landlord is a top bloke (despite being a Baggy).

Well under age - with fishbulb here - The Royal at Tockholes

Under age - Swan Cellar

Legal - The Howcroft

Married with Kids - Duke of Welly at Chew Moor

Working - Fureys Bar near Enfield in Ireland and The Duke Of York in Belfast

Current - Abel and Heywood in the Northern Quarter, Manc

Overall favourite - Fureys - proper Irish bar off the beaten track

Legal - Beaumont Arms, where I grew to love pub culture.

Music - The Swan cellar bar.

Football - The Bromilow Arms ( best landlady & footy atmosphere ever )

Atmospheric - The Cheshire Cheese ( London )

Manchester - The Old Monkey.

Ale and pub grub . The Brown Cow ( Dalton in Furness )

Special mentions for , White Lion ( howfen ) & Double Locks ( Exeter )

Griffin.....when in The Motherland

Cock and Bull when home in Santa Monica

Los Gordos in La Bufadora Mexico on weekends
