The Hyde Tavern in Winchester runs it close, found it the night before Eastleigh away, roaring fire, pork scratchings, bliss.
August 11, 20169 yr My favourite boozer is The Salisbury in Manchester. Nothing particularly special about it but a good jukebox, decent beers and always enjoy it in there. Try and nip in for a pint whenever I'm in the city centre.
August 11, 20169 yr My favourite Bolton pub was probably The Greyhound on Manny Road...Dunno why, pool table and no nobheads, except for the nobheads you were with...I used to like The Cattle Market an' all. There is some decent boozers around Winchester but how you fell over the Hyde is beyond me as it is a little off the beaten track!

August 11, 20169 yr I worked here for 3 months. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3548829/Australian-outback-Daly-Waters-Pub-goes-sale-complete-odd-paraphernalia.html It was absolutely fucking mental - a mix of backpackers, cowboys and bikers about 600km south of Darwin and 800km north of Alice Springs. Resident population was 12 and 8 of them worked at the pub. I saw more fights in 3 months than I have in the rest of my life put together - but it was always eventful!

The Clachaig Inn, in Glencoe Seven Oaks in Chinatown Crofters on Haliwell Road when I was 16/17 Crofters, Bradshaw, nicking off from school The Flapper, in Birmingham And The Lostock Arms, from c 1990 to 1995 or so
August 11, 20169 yr Used to be the 2 Tubs in Bury. Then they got new owners and it went crap. The trackside is probably my favourite place for a drink in Bury now. Golden Cross in Coventry was brilliant when I lived there. The landlady was a dolly bird for Max Power so was a nice attraction. As for Manchester it's Grand Central for the juke box and clientèle or Sinclars for beer garden

August 11, 20169 yr The Angel, St Giles High Street London. An oasis in central London, Sammy Smiths so an acquired taste, but reasonably priced and a cracking dartboard.
