Wasn't it you that posted the pic of that smug twat kissing the Ashes?   I'd like to see that one again with sandpaper instead of the little urn

Oops, missed that!

Tough draw for Rory - not only trying to get the career grand slam, but also has to spend the first 2 rounds protecting the field from any ball tampering by Scott

Giving them an absolute spanking here at the minute

For fucks sake. Roy run out unnecessarily.

Never mind great knock.

202-1 and we are not even half way through the innings yet.

Bit early, but world record could be going here...

8 bowlers used so far and the only wicket is a run out!????

To be fair, Hales was caught by an Aussie but he was in the crowd.????

It's gonna be a massive total this.

Sod the world record - 500's on

Missing this!!!!!!

Since when were ODIs so attacking? 250 used to be a good target back in the day

500 was doable but still a wonderful record breaking score

Well done all. Pity buttler didn't get going as they'd have strolled past 500.

Also some good death bowling from the Aussies.

Never the less sensational performance.

When they decided to stop it being a contest and turned it into a slugfest

Fielding restrictions, no reverse swing

Same for both sides though.

We've just got better slugs.

Haven't bats got bigger too?

He asked why 250 is no longer a good score

Global warming

Fielding restrictions have been around for ages

T20. Players playing all the year round in the IPL and the Big Bash and natural development.

As for the record, Trent Bridge is relatively small. The previous record of 444 was also at Notts.

He asked why 250 is no longer a good score

And you said it stopped being a contest.

Oh and when you say you meant a contest between bat and ball well that's bollocks.

Listening to the experts yesterday, theit belief was the introduction of T20 and batsmen getting stronger and fitter is helping larger scores.

The contest is still there, just bowlers and fans now appreciate that more runs may be scored per over.

The one day game was struggling for breath and first fielding restrictions and power plays then a new style has improved the game immensely.

Proper entertainment and we're the best at it.

Long may it continue.
