Warner!

Could something special be happening?

24-3.

Stay positive lads. Don't read this thread (or some of it!)

Big Wanderers flag given a good show on sky coverage.

Anyone off here (Morden whites I think it said)?

Hmm, yes, but Smith isn't one of the 3

Did you see the lady in the crowd earlier. Bumble was talking to her via the earpiece.

He asked her how to get him out.

She gesticulated a line across her throat and then similar on her shin.

Don't know what she was trying to demonstrate; but Bumble did ask her "break his legs?"

It’s frustrating. I genuinely think even with Smith if we’d bowled with discipline they’d have gone for 200 or 250 max.

Weather much warmer and less windy. 44-4. Smith still in, but perhaps you need to listen to the ex players who said bowling was difficult on the first day.

Yep, that’s Super Bock’s.

drifting away again

A bit of sluggish captaincy. Spinner with only one close in fielder. No fast bowler at the other end.

Seemed a very different plan after tea.

Perhaps even some influence from coaching staff- though that would seem unusual.

Was also tough to bat in. Second day those excuses weren’t there. Selection was wrong no idea what Overton came in for. Should have given Curran a go if they wanted someone other than Woakes. But bottom line is Aussies don’t leak so many runs. We concede too many runs through straying off line. That and Smith/Labuschagne is difference between two sides.

Smith is the best batsman in the world

Our bowlers aren't as good as theirs

Its a miracle we are still in the series

Another point, if broad gets Smith out, chances are it'll be a no ball

He's bowling loads that aren't getting called

Smith caught off a fair ball.

We could have easily won the first two tests and won the 3rd

We lost the first by loads

Should've lost the third

Second, we fell just short

We are second best in this

Do you really disagree

They've got the better bowlers and the best batsman in the series by a long way

If we take this to the oval, we'll have done great

If Smith gets pneumonia we might even win the ashes

Much more likely that by half 3 tomorrow, they are lost

Yep. Which England players get in their side? Stokes. Broad. Burns.

After that I draw a blank. And Broad is marginal at best. Probably in for Starc or Siddle.

Be good to see the ball get a bit old before Root has a bat wouldn't it? we had a good start with the ball but it looks bleak now, need rain or another miracle

Still breathing, but another oxygen tank is required.

Hmm. Buttler in now. A quick double century from him and similar from Bairstow and they'll piss it. :)

61 overs to survive

Perhaps lose a few, 57?

No chance; we are in the garden

Why did Stokes walk?

I presume that a review would have shown the touch on the glove. Not seen it like, just listening.

Anyway, still taking a few breaths.

Just let the umpire make the decision

Aye. Always a chance the Aussies might not have reviewed it too.

Still breathing. Just.
