September 7, 20196 yr Ordered some, optician reckoned it was the way to go. Anyone wear them, and how easy was it to get used to them?

September 7, 20196 yr Author Should I wear them around the house a bit before driving then? Or is that over cautious?

September 7, 20196 yr I wear them. Driving is fine. I struggle a bit with closer up stuff. Bit of a pain if you are watching telly and move around and lie on the setee as focus changes cos of the angle but better than fucking about with 2 pairs of glasses.
September 7, 20196 yr How do they work then? and what's the advantage over bifocals? I need 3.0's for reading and 1.25's for distance - so having 2 pairs is a bit of a pain in the arse like Ani said.

I can't carry on for much longer though, constantly lifting them up or peering over the top of em like Larry Grayson.
September 9, 20196 yr Got used to them from day one tbh. Had readers for a few years first but driving at night became an issue. All the dials and buttons in the car were blurry. Then gradually the road signs were getting harder to read. Varifocals solved both issues straight away

Sounds like the right solution.
