April 9, 20206 yr It’s simply not getting voided. It’s not happening. We are starting in league two next year either via a closed door finish the season quick or a finish now and ppg calculation. That’s what is going to happen in scotland and it’s going to happen here for me below the Prem. Prem I think gets completed

Prem I think gets completed I think in the end in terms of time it won’t be effected as many predicted ( sure someone on here said we won’t kick a ball till September) this season gets wrapped up behind closed doors and next will get re jigged (less cups) The financial part is the problem

Football or not.
April 9, 20206 yr Author If they don't start very soon. Its pre season training again We could just wing it, but a lot of clubs have a lot to play for I think efl timescales are fanciful Or fantasy Or both

Maybe for the Prem where it’s all about TV revenue but for league clubs especially 1 & 2 they need gate receipts to survive. Be better off keeping the players on government furlough then starting when the turnstiles are open

Be better off keeping the players on government furlough then starting when the turnstiles are open I see your point birch but imo we will be playing well before September Yes revenue for most will be a problem, I see the efl have put on hold the 125m advance from the premier league while they address player wages

So mid May the earliest they can resume 2 weeks of training to June 2 months to then complete the league August 2 week break 6 weeks of pre season October to start the next league. If we can resume mid May. The CL and Europa is tricky and it might get binned Edited April 9, 20206 yr by Rudy’s Message

April 9, 20206 yr Author Not after only 2 weeks break Dunno how signing players works I'd be pointing out to the efl that the embargo is unreasonably restrictive and goes way beyond what was intended

But you risk injuring players with work overload. Plus it’s the coaching staffs busiest time, they work 6 day weeks 10 hour days working new stuff out it’s a tough to do in 6 weeks. A cup might get binned but the FA cup they would want to keep because smaller clubs depend on it, League cup is full of sponsorships. Its a mess. Also there’s the issue of next season changing in prep for the 2022 WC
