Hat Trick's Against Bolton.

The only time I left a ground at H/T was at Hillsborough when Andy Booth banged three goals in against us in 14 mins to make it 0-5. Tram back to the city centre for a beer.

Only good thing about playing Rotherham away in the 80s was the stop off in Sheffield, and seeing all the fit student women in the pubs.

Have we had lampard and mason mount

Vaguely remember one for sheff utd in the dark 80s

The old Rotherham ground was quite good with it being next to the station & a clump of pubs, but we got there one year & the train went to a different station further away & the one near the ground had shut. Alls well though, since they built the new ground v close to the new station. (It's a dull station though )

& one year, late 70's probably, we were on Rotherham's "end", 50/50 all match. Happy days.

Never known a more industrial ride in my life on a train between Sheffield and Rotherham in the 70s, i thought we had it bad on our patch, but it opened my eyes up on that scale. Just end to end Steelworks and scrapworks for miles.

1990.  I saw us win 3-0 away at Huddersfield in the league cup 1R1L.  We were there again the following week in the league but we were on holiday in the US.  I ring home on the Saturday night buzzing with anticipation only to hear we've been dicked 4-0.  Keith Edward's got a hat trick iirc.

Day David Longhurst died on the pitch for Halifax. Quickly put our walloping into perspective.

Funny how 4-0 seemed like a dicking back then. It’s almost a result these days

Surprised I’m the first to recall a Tommy Tynan hat-trick for Rotherham against us in mid 80s. Millmoor was my first away outside of Lancashire. Lost 4-0. Had a pork pie and Marathon bar at half time. And pretty sure TT’s third was from near the half way line.
Someone else must’ve been at this game?

I thought Tommy Tynan was that Irish comedian.

He only scored 2 , but he got a Hat-Trick in their next game against swansea.

Cheers for the correction. Would’ve bet my house that he’d got a hat trick. Funny how time warps things.

It happens with me no end , and the older you get the more the  games seem to merge into one another .
