It's that match v Darlington (5/11/86?). What it would have looked like if everyone who claims to have been there, really was.

Now Jim, when I mentioned "rattle" you immediately thought of "rattler" a colloquial name for a train, and suggested Crewe Alexandra, a place inextricably linked to trains. Well it was a good idea but

Can’t believe I’ve been beaten to that one. Lad who meets us at away games goes watching Emley when we aren’t playing.

Technically not the same club these days, but that’s far too long a story involving far too many different grounds for this time on a Saturday night.

I’m waiting for Undies. I really have no idea if it’s Emley or not but his clue that “we’ve played them away is what led me to Emley just because it’s a lot more than he normally gives.

It’s definitely Emley

I’m going doing a lap of honour then.

👍 Aye it is Emley. Tryed to bowl folk a googly with the wording of the question.

Off script. This will sort the time wasters out.

We didn't play this weekend, but played midweek. The blocking is slightly red herring and also hiding massive clues.

1. Season?

2. Who did we play midweek and score?

Watford, around 84ish? Lost 2-1 home I think?

Was it our biggest home gate ever? 😉

The midweek game is one of the reded out bits.
