  • She's way ahead of you Did she send you the video? I still can't figure out how that cucumber disappeared from view as a whole, but appeared a few minutes later in perfectly even slices.

And there were posters on the wall promoting Cossak hair spray, but i bet he never had any.

My great granddad, Joe Fish, on my paternal grandmother’s side was a barber in Bolton somewhere. Apparently  he was one of the first in town to use electric clippers. One of his ‘specials’ was a Union Jack cut. He’d go forehead to back of neck, ear to ear and then cut off the triangles.

Oggi in the early days used to be near the griffin and Sids butchers, was a real treat for school boys in them days as they used to have the odd copy of some soft porn mags of the day lying around, fiesta, men only etc.

Years later i noticed that it had moved across the road nearer to where there used to be a casino and i think there was a Sainsbury's near there. The pub that used to be on that corner (name not known) but a mate of mine was once playing pool in there, steps back to play a shot and trod in some dog shit.

Last time i was near there someone flogging hot tubs out of the back but didn't notice if Oggi was still there.

Yep, Oggi was mainly run by a guy called Alan & Mario but they split up & Alan went round to Washington's on Bradshawgate & Mario went over the road. I think he's still cutting hair there, with his son.

They used to get loads of porn donated by their vice squad customers who had nicked it from their raids.

I used to go in there when I worked on Bolton Wholesale Market. I had a fucking beard for a while. 😨

Anyone remember Fosters barbers? Maurice? Used to put a plank on the chair arms for toddlers to sit on while they had their haircut.

Leigh White had to sit on that plank as an adult 😁

He was on the left just after the first bus stop going towards Bury after Ainsworth Lane... he was one of those responsible for us kids wanting to grow their hair long
