Feeling low

Any tips on how to stop being a miserable fucker and cheer yourself up?

Don't say go to the Dr cos mines a dick. Lockdown, work, not seeing your mates, and a number of other things have contributed to me realising this isn't normal and I'm no fun to be around.

Can't even have a fucking drink.

I'm 65 on Sunday and I am getting fed up with my work... the fun and knock-about spirit has totally gone in the construction industry and I feel I just don't fit anymore, you can't even set a cheeky upstart "colleague's" gym bag on fire anymore without getting a warning from HR (it did happen). Telling more of my idiot peers to eff off these days when they ask me to do something for them.

What's next...

I worked with Miami for about 18 months, he kept trying to push me off a roof.

Was it a Wendy house?

I can't recall, it was somewhere in an ethnic area of Liverpool 8.

Perhaps I should work with Miami next

"M&D Roofing & General Idiocy" Members of the Inconsiderate Contractors Scheme and skilled arsonists

I can see that on the side of a van already

Where is Miami anyway?

Has he been boomed out?

I think he was getting a bit worn out with all the "Booms" you kept delivering to him

Probably being noshed off by his pet boi Royal White……

So add fuel to the fire work are knobheads and think the law doesn't apply to them because their outdated policy says different to what the government says 😊

Aye, ok.

I’ll drop the miserable fucker a line. He’s not lost me a fortune on shares for a while so I’m due.

ive also been struggling with stress and depression and iam sure its all down to being locked down, over the past 2 years ive become more and more unlikely to be bothered to leave the house, which for me is very unusual, i have since phoned the doctor and they have given me some numbers and web sites to have a read off, also recently mu mum had a fall and fractured her hip which has made me have time of work and made me do all this.

Don't wait.

Contact the people- I went through one point (don't know if it still exists)- but waiting will make things worse, and you'll be better at helping your mum to if you feel better about yourself.

Go for walks too. Can be difficult to motivate yourself, but once you get going, the increased heart rate and positive hormones really will help, sunlight will benefit you, and fresh air is always free.

@bolton_blondie please do speak to your midwife about how you’re feeling. It might ‘just be hormones’ but it’s best if they’re aware, especially for after the little one arrives. X

Thankyou. I have good and bad days. Pregancy has been plain sailing it's just other shit that makes me down.

Just play some of your favorite tunes in your head phones, that always cheers me up.

A true Bolton lass.

65 years ago my mum ran a hardware shop on Bridge Street and gave birth to me on a Wednesday afternoon 🙂

Need to remember I'm a Bolton lass and I'm a lot tougher than I realise.

Was half day closing then, I hope she did the morning first!

Probably had to leave the bagging coal and carrying cans of Esso Blue until Friday
