the boo boys

Featured Replies

unlike some people at the reebok, I do like to get behind the team and sing songs and whatever. Today though, it was hard to get motivated.. I know people say a good crowd can do a lot for the teams spirit.. but they arent doing much to raise ours.

Also, I don't like booing them off, hard to keep quiet today though.

I never booed, I was to deflated to do anything. I just walked out kept quiet and casually walked to HPI

booing at the end of the game is fair enuff i reckon, the TEAM is shit then you have the right to tell em that.

but to single out players (ie stelios when subbed) and abuse them is bang out of order [-X

the lad was shit, granted, but he still ran his bolox off and went in for every challenge, unfortunatly he just aint up to the job...

I am sorry but I did not see Stelios running his bollocks off. He is a lazy little shit and pulls out of tackles. I seem to remember another small winger we had who never pulled out of tackles. A certain Michael Johansen.

Forgive me, but i think we, as the mugs who pay that lazy gary nevilles wages, have every right to boo him

But also remember a small-in-stature winger who did back out of tackles, David Lee.

Thing is, when he was on form we loved him. When he was shite, we hated him.

Nothing has changed except the names!

Let's face it, we, the supporters, pay their inflated wages. Most of our beloved team earn more in a week than most of us do in a year! We have the right to boo if we don't think they're earning their wages and to be honest, few of them are at the moment!

Better than booing the players, could you imagine their faces if we didn't cheer when they walked out before the game, total silence?

Now that would make em think again.

Who was it that turned their backs on the players when they walked out?

booing or silence all too negative for me

get behind them I say

You're right Grasshopper.

I never said do it. just pointed something out. I have never booed the team in my life and I don't intend to start now.

You got to admit though, it's sole destroying and hard to get behind some players who are lazy feckers and ain't earning their wages. If you did that at work you'd be in and warned about your conduct with a view to dismissal.

i don't think they are lazy

i think - for whatever reason - they're shit scared of getting the ball

You got to admit though, it's sole destroying

Fishing HW?

Sole as in giving em some 'leather' :D

I think this happened in Germany the other year as a protest against the players inflated salaries.

I would never boo any Bolton player ever I could not bring myself to do it,I just walk away after the game and think about the next one [-X

Many Wanderers "fans" really p!ss me off with this booing, they don't care or can't see if any particular players are giving it their best shot. All they can see is that we are a goal behind and out they come.

Do you want confidence players like Hunt and Stelios to improve and benefit the squad or not. 'Thick skinned' players like Jaidi and Hierro and Les can take it, but I've seen it many times down the years where these critics have shattered the confidence of the inexperienced or weaker minded players.

Boo Boys do yourself and everyone else a favour and f*ck off back home and listen to the radio commentary

This is the big problem with Johnny-Come-Latelys who turn up in their droves when we are playing top-flight football. They think this is as bad as it gets!

How wrong they are!!!!!

Still, as Sam always points out; they pay their money-they are entitled to show their appreciation in whichever way they want.

Johnny-Come-Latelys or not, booing does no team any good as I see it,

have you boo it's up to you I just don't like it

For me, if i am unhappy with the performance or levels of attitude the players seem to be showing how else do you want me to show my frustration?

the current level of performance and commitment is not acceptable. I will sing and shout and offer encouragement throughout the game, but if I feel they had not met my expectations I will let them know at half time! The "come on bolton" chant as the players walked off against jackburn did not work, so maybe a little bit of booing will create a siege mentallity.

I for one never single out a player for individual booing as this does not help anyone, but booing an entire team, if the players cannot accept that or are letting that effect them they are in the wrong profession.

Yours Salfordwhite (booooooooo!!!)

maybe we need to re-set our sights

just remember staying up is a must

support em properly on saturday

backs to the wall like the first two seasons in this league

there wasn't any booing then

we were just thankful for a point or two

The thing is, this booing manifests itself even when we play the opposition off the park except go and lose by the odd goal.

We are not there for the entertainment, we are there for the RESULT!

Micky i know what you are saying, but we are not even getting the performances to warrant that arguement with us. I have to say I do not boo if we play well and get beat, but I do boo if the performance levels or commitment are not correct.

We have played three derbys on the bounce and I dont think we have put any note worth tackles in, had any pressure or any half chances to note. The commitment against Jackburn was not there which warrants a boo.

I can stomach us not being good enough - but heads dropping after 7 minutes, arguing amongst themselves, and then the captain being the most quiet man on the pitch annoys me. Its not one player i want to pick out, but I dont want them walking off the pitch happy to pick up another pay cheque thinking i am not bothered about it (Diouf!!!), if they hear me Boo then at least they know I am not prepared to put up with crap each week. They can then try and ram the boo's down my throat I would love it, just love it if they did that :D

i will boo who i want when i want and i will leave games early if i am not enjoying it.

at a cost of ??38 per game it is not like the dark days in more ways than one.

if we have players being paid ??10k plus per week it is not a hard life if they get a bit of grief every so often i would accept half stelios salary with twice as much hassle and be happy with my lot.

i am not a johnny come lately and can remember the run mentioned elsewhere under charlie wright, i think we won every game as care taker and none after he was appointted.

i spend ??0000s a year watching bolton and if someone is in my opnion not doing enough to justify wearing the shirt i will voice that opinion.

if people do nt like that i realy do nt give a fcuk. most people on here had jobs and if you are net performing you get hassle why the fcuk these prima donnas should is beyond me.

i hate to single players out by stelios has done nothing since he got here, he is not good enough, i would love him to prove me wrong but i do n't think he will in the premiership.

Agree with Ian.

However, I am startled by the "Boo-Boy" comment.

I spotted a woman booing.

I think Alibob was being highly sexist with this thread.

Its 2004 love, get PC.

I don't know why, but I just imagined someone at the match trying to Boo without any lips.
