  1. Am with Frank here, looked far better after JJ departed. Unlucky with booking, distributed ball in an entirely different way than the other players are used to , ie sideways! Nolan did superbly after he came on. I'll also take back everything I said about Fernandes, looked very lively, left footed player cutting in off the right wing looks a winner. Borgetti, 1 chance 1 goal, that'll do for me!
  2. If he's a popular lad he could be called heldinhighregardbyhi
  3. Heard on the radio this morning it's supposed to be called "London Preston". God knows why, perhaps the baby was conceived during a mammoth sex session somewhere between the two towns while she was on tour. In the style of Brooklyn?
  4. This Epinal Way sounds like a very popular place!
  5. According to your grid references, you are on top of a hill on Epinal Way near Loughborough? Is this true?
  6. Quality, that's twice in one day. Good job I'm not giving away prizes!
  7. 1) Fill in the missing gap: 1979: Sunderland 1980: ??????? 1981: Villa 2) Which player has played in the North London, Merseyside and Manchester Derbies, has won the Premiership, FA Cup, Champions League & European Championship? This guy's still playing.
  8. My apologies Exiled. I can see how that could be quite confusing!
  9. Sorry Homer, No he didn't.
  10. Jay Jay, Top marks! Took me bloody ages to get that!
  11. Not in the Munich derby. That one's the key!
  12. Can you name a player who has played in all of the following? Milan Derby, North East Derby, Liverpool Derby, London Derby and Munich Derby. All in the last 10 years........
  13. Damn it! Only heard it this morning. First decent one I've been told!
  14. Who was the last person to f*** the Aussies and bring back the Ashes? . . . . . . . . . . . . .............................Paula Yates!
  15. Worst case realistic scenario. England all out for about 160 by 2.30. Best case realistic scenario. England all out for 270 by about 4. So probably looking at all out for 190 about 2.30. Actually, I haven't got a bloody clue!
  16. 1. Bolton have two points less than they did this time last season, but in terms of performances have you continued your impressive form at the end of last season into the start of 2005/06? Think we're unlucky not to be on 12 points at this stage. 2. Rovers have an absolutely dismal record in Europe. How far can Bolton go in the UEFA Cup this year? Don't see any reason why we wont do very well. Will be interseting to see how European opposition deal with the system we play. 3. How is it you can turn that fat slob Kevin Davies into a decent Premiership player? Fat? He's just big boned. Think we've found a place in our system which suits his strengths. Can't think of a better target man playing in England at the moment. Would have been just wjat we needed against Northern Ireland. 4. If England came calling right now do you think Big Sam would take the job on a permanent basis? Unfortunately yes but think he would do a great job. 5. Being an unfashionable northern team yourselves like Blackburn, how frustrating is it to see the southern-based press brand both our styles of football as route-one or over aggressive? Very frustrating, especially when you have to listen to them bang on about West Ham non-existant "academy of football". Don't make any mistake about it, we can play when we need to! 6. Any favourable/unfavourable past memories of Bolton vs Blackburn games that stand out in your mind? When we beat you 5-1 in the Masters tournament! 7. There will be plenty of controversial characters on show at the Reebok on Sunday, but which individual (from either side) should have the biggest influence on the outcome? Jay Jay Okocha. Still gets plenty of stick despite being the most talented player at the club. 8. Mark Lawrenson, the football expert that he is, is going for a 1-0 home win - agree/disagree? The guy is a bell end despite his prediction.
  17. I'm sure they are, but their agents aren't appearing on radio phone ins and putting their clients names forward!
  18. Just been on the radio saying that Sam is interested in the England job. Not really new news, but the first time he's actually been been touting him about actively! Hmmm........?
  19. In total agreement with you. Sam hasn't got a cat in hells chance. They've been grooming McClaren for years despite the fact that he's a ruddy faced dumpling of a man with millions of pounds at his desposal who still managed to finish lower than us last season. Sam understands that the total is greater than the sum of it's parts and that's why he wins football matches. Can you imagine him on the touchline last night? Frightening! Would quite like a Sam and Stuart Pearce Combo with Sam still continueing to manage us. Ain't gonna happen though!
  20. Team Manager SALARY RANGE ??3Million - ??4Million This exciting opportunity has become available owing to a redundancy which we are about to announce following a series of appalling results. We urgently seek someone to take charge of the England Football Team and reorganise it from top to bottom. The ideal candidiate will have some idea of how to manage a football team and produce exciting attacking football in the English tradition. A winning formula is preferable although we would accept someone who is able to encourage the players to play with the pride, passion and committment that putting on an England shirt deserves. You should be able to speak English, and since we hope to be involved in the forthcoming World Cup finals a knowledge of other languages would be useful, although Swedish would be no use at all. Since our team is full of prima donnas and self styled superstars you should have a sound knowledge of dealing with temperamental young people of a "challenging nature" and a good background in working with young offenders, imposing ASBOs and generally making apologies for the behaviour of spoilt little t*ssers. On a personal level, you should be a dignified character who is able to keep your d*** in your trousers, and not a flighty little "ladiez man" who sh*gs every little tart who parades herself in a mini-skirt at the FA. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all candidates good luck in what is probably a hopeless task. Application forms can be downloaded from our website at www.fachancemate.co.uk Please quote reference: God Help Us. Closing date: Whenever you can turn up. THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION "Getting better by turning Swedish"
  21. Both legs are to being televised on Channel 5. Should probably knock 5,000 off the gate eh!

Dead right they should! Problem is, there are three different sets of people who are all partly responsible. Firstly, uncomfortable as it might seem, somebody at the club has f***ed up badly. By all accounts they were told by the Health and Safety inspectors to get a sign fitted on the chain months ago and didn't do anything about it. Secondly the parents for letting the kid have the bike in the first place and not paying attention to where he was riding it. Finally the kid himself for riding somewhere he knew he shouldn't (however tempting it might have been)! At the end of the day, whoever is to blame, a young lad has died at our ground and it's a very sad episode in the clubs history. That's why I think we should mark it with a minutes silence.

Think back though. Surely you did similar things as a kid? Fair enough I admit the lad probably knew he shouldn't be on their by law, but who gives a f*** about that when they're that age sat on a motorbike and with a big empty car park to ride around on?
