In my view, this should be strongly opposed, because it is yet another case of the police deciding what we must do irregardless of whether it makes sense or not. On principle, anything that takes away the freedom of the average fan should be opposed. If they claim it is to control "trouble makers", they have many other means available to do so without arrogantly dictating what we all must do. As to the ealier reference to "police intelligence", just step back for a moment of assess the "intelligence" of the last few coppers you dealt with. Enough said.

Who's the best player you've ever witnessed?....
Brazil did train at Bromwich Street... I was one of the many who watched. ...and the greatest player I saw at Burnden was the one and only Johnny Byrom.

Best goals Bolton have scored
I remember it well... we were sitting in the very back row of the stand and when the King scored, I jumped up and cracked my @#$@$^& head on the steel beam above.

Nat Lofthouse is a.......
It would be interesting to hear Nat's views on a possible Knighthood. If the impression I gained during the few times I have spoken to him is anything like accurate, I doubt that Nat could care less. He knows what he means to the people of Bolton, and for such a modest, genuinely nice man, that is probably more than enough.

wagging work
Wow Northy... I can only wonder how ticked off you would have been if we had finished lower than sixth, failed to qualify for Europe and had not splashed out a club record fee on Diouf!!! :-({|= :-({|=

Have we signed Borgetti or not?
The deal was part of the news on FoxSportsWorld (U.S. and Canada) last night, with the "Soccer Analyst" Bobby McMahon saying the only hitch was that although the player had signed, there was confusion as to how much of the fee went to his club and how much to his agents. Still don't see anything on the official site... does anybody know what is going on?

Jared Borgetti
Actually,I suppose I am being pedantic, but it is North America.... that is why they are members of the North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and the U.S. (Something a little akin to your European Union, but restricted to trade matters only). Any Mexican will tell you they come from LATIN America, but will be a little upset if you try to tell them they are from Central America.

Jared Borgetti
Have seen Borgetti playing in Mexican League games on Foxsports and he looks pretty damn good to me. In addition, he looked quality in the Confederations Cup against the likes of Brazil and Germany. Same old Bolton... no ambition, eh? Sixth place, UEFA Cup... no ambition, eh?

Whats your
The Worthington goal also provides an explanation as to why we are so fond of the long throw-in.... ...did you know that the move started from a long throw in from the left flank, and that the throw was made by one Samuel Allardyce? My personal favourite was Garry Jones against Rotherham. Remember that one? Game tied, Rotherham wasting all the time they could, Jim McDonagh (yes, that Jim McDonagh) in goal for Rotherham stopped the ball on the goal line and placed it for a goal kick. While he walked halfway up the Lever End to get ready to take the (non existent) goal kick Garry nipped in and stuffed it into the net. Cue scenes of pandemonium amongst the Bolton fans. Must admit Bob Taylor's goal at the Theatre of Wet Dreams has a special place in my heart, as does every other goal we have ever scored at O.T.
