  1. Funny, he could have sworn he saw some other people there.......
  2. Actually, a very fair, balanced match report.
  3. I'm with you, Bolty. Attending 3 or 4 games every couple of years does not make up for the fact that you miss the days out with the lads cheering on BWFC every Sat'day. Thank God for this website (and for Fox Soccer Channel which caries the live games!)
  4. You could always make an identical mark on the other side of the car, paint them in using a different colour, and claim that it is a specially designed paint job only offered by the manufacturer on limited edition models.
  5. I strongly disagree that he should be exiled for engaging in behaviour which, in Peterborough, is not only deemed socially acceptable but is actively encouraged! Widnes, at least he was not involving a goat, but rather an inanimate object. (I accept that most of the women in Leigh would be classified as inanimate objects, but I digress). Free Posh White! This jackboot mentality amongst the mods must be challenged! I do agree, however, with the decision to ban the poster known as "Byrom is a Queen". Anybody who would cast aspertions on the sexuality of the finest player ever to don a white shirt with number 7 on the back deserves to be cast to the wolves! Free POSH WHITE! I join with Zozzy in solidarity at making this demand! Oh, and I blame the ticket office.
  6. 132... Boring....I really must try harder to misbehave
  7. Sorry to be pedantic, but 11 wins and 11 draws will give us 44 points. Agree with you that 62 points should give us a UEFA Cup spot.
  8. The ref was happily allowing play to continue... it was called by the linesman, who choked on an identical call in the second half in their penalty area. How can it be a penalty in the first instance and not in the second? Same linesman, same play, different decision.
  9. The ref was looking to catch up with him for winding up the home fans after he scored (both times). He was just being Diouf... perhaps if you look in the dictionary under Diouf it will state "verb: to Diouf: to act irrationally in heated situations" Whatever, his overall play more than makes up for it.

Absolutely agree with you TSO. He gives us another dimension, and will prove to be a fantastic signing.
  11. Very good performance in the second half. Our defence was rarely troubled and we were excellent value for the win. Anelka seems to be getting his game together and Davies worked his ass off yet again. And if that was a penalty, then I am likely to be elected the next Pope.
  12. 8:00 am on the left coast (Fox Sports World Canada)
  13. Bolty... I take it your lovely wife does not read WanderersWays....
  14. "Windass scored bags of goals when he was last in the Premiership. You don???t lose that scoring ability." If that is the case, Gnasher, let's start Sir Nat at striker in our next game.. I bet he could form on heck of a strike partnership with Johnny Byrom.....
  15. What all four have in common is that none of them has ever started a game with me at left back.
  16. Charlie played for Hong Kong while on National Service in a game against Peru. The final score was 1-1, but, to use an old phrase "if it was a boxing match, they would have stopped it". Charlie was brilliant, amd was a national hero in Hong Kong for getting them a result they had no chance of obtaining against some pretty classy opposition. Loved to watch him play, but hardly gets included amongst the list of finest BWFC managers... I wonder why?
  17. No, it isn't just you, because it doesn't work for me either.
  18. How could I fail to respond to this thread? Johnny B. was one of the greatest players to play for our team... whenever I hear a modern day commentator rhapsodize about a striker playing "in the hole" (cue bad jokes) I always think "nay lad, you should have seen Byrom...he invented the tactic".
  19. I certainly hope we are doing something to strengthen the back line, and that the news that Jaidi is off to Brum indicates that the club knows something about signing Woodgate or the Argie that we don't. Who would you rather see playing for us... Jaidi or Woodgate?
  20. Best of luck.... I admire your courage!
  21. Speaking of treats that we miss when we move away.... do they still sell Horlicks tablets? Used to love them when I was a little lad, and there is nothing like them over here.
  22. Really? i'll look it up 8-[ andy is actuallya bit out we scored, not rotherham Tis true! He was the Rotherham keeper at the time! Should have said 2-2 and Gary Jones equalised! or was that Man City Well pissed now! Having thought now! Gary Jones! v Citeh! Was that not a hat-tick and 3-3 at Burnden! and not 2-2! 3-0 league cup Fuckkk! I'm losing it! Where do I get Gary Jones equalising from!? Because Gary scored the goal against McDonagh and that one actually tied the game. I don't care what that web site says, we were losing 2-1, Rotherham were tome wasting, the ref threatened to book McDonagh if he wasted any more time, and our goal was a direct result. McDonagh stopped the ball before it went over the goal line, placed it for a goal kick and turned his back. The ref waved play on, Gary ran up and banged it in. The great and glorious Johnny B. got our other goal. Final score 2-2, I was in the Burnden paddock.
  23. I blame the ticket office.
