from what i've read about the trial, as i understand it: it's about whether or not he deliberately shot at the door, regardless of who was in there - he says he accidently shot through the door and thought it was a burglar if they can prove he shot through the door on purpose, he's up for murder, no matter who is behind it that's difficult to prove, but they're going for it, and whilst doing so, looking to prove he's lying that he thought it was a burglar if they can do that, then at the very least they have him on culprable homicide - hence bringing up the other shootings like in the restaurant or in his car, which he claims were accidents or were not him too, thus painting him as a bloke who shoots recklessly and without taking responsibility so at the end, the judge will think right, do i think he murdered her - if yes, he's fucked, if not, then do i think he's culprable for homicide - based on the evidence presented, I would like to think yes - if not, then she would be saying she believes his version of events, that he thought it was a robber and he shit himself and shot at the door in self defence or in panic - because, he says he didn;t mean to pull on the trigger

yep, I agree it would be difficult to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that he set out to murder her but I think they're making it pretty clear, as is oscar himself, that he knew she was in there when he opened fire as each day goes by, there is less doubt for me that he thought there was burglar in there which would mean he gets culprable homicide
