  4. the trip was a good laugh, as they always are. it just really tickles my doo da's when subo can't see what is happening in front of him, although the linesman in the first half on the side we were in needed to practice what he preaches.... and actually watch the game rather than trying to order a pie whilst running e
  5. fair do's for the travel side E, but as for accepting yesterdays pathetic performance and actually feeling hard done to by our glorious leader, subo, then I certainly can feel aggrieved . that any team that can put primary school kids out against ex premiership players and show them a thing or two shows me that subo hasn't got a clue.
  6. E - I suppose you were on of the hundred or so of us that went up to see the waccademicals, who had at least three under 10's playing for them, take the michael out of us? did you put your money where your mouth is and travel the 400 mile return journey to see subo put out a lack lustre team that had less gel than my mrs face cream. subo should have taken my advice when going in at half time, just as the hardy few were making their way from the home end to the away end via the pitch (which had the ste wards of the glorious accies having kittens) in which I advised him to switch to 8-1-1. be at least that way we might not have lost so emphatically . glorified warm ups they may be but I expect them to at least try.
  7. Show your interest lads, flight would be mcr to warsaw Thursday morning, back early morn Friday - a few hours after game. Early stages yet but we need 180 bums on seats to make it viable. Flight will be 400 quid. Scheduled flights are 700 ish and have different return airports to make it for the match. One day package so show your interest.
  8. First and foremost I want just us whites to go on it, but we may have o open it up to others if not enough take it up.

  17. From the Bolton Evening News, first published Thursday 28th Apr 2005. EDDIE Davies, the owner of Bolton Wanderers, will not be ploughing profits from his latest business windfall into the club's coffers. The Bolton-born entrepreneur stands to make a reported ?100 million from the sale of the Isle of Man-based company that made him his fortune, but says he will not be offering Sam Allardyce a blank cheque to sign new players. "It's going to be business as usual," Davies said following the announcement of the sale of the multi-national Strix Group, which should be completed in the next two weeks. "Bolton Wanderers has got to be a stand-alone business that doesn't require my financial support. "I've got to make them stand on their own feet for their own, long-term well-being." Wanderers have been run on tight financial lines since the former Farnworth Grammar School pupil joined the board of Burnden Leisure, the club's parent company, in November 1999 - just weeks after Phil Gartside became chairman and appointed Allardyce as his manager. Despite committing around ?14m of his wealth in share purchases and loans to the club, Davies has always insisted on a prudent business approach aimed at long-term stability and the elimination of the risk factor that has spelled financial disaster and bankruptcy for clubs who have allowed ambition to get the better of them. .............................................. The guy was already a multi-millionaire when he took over - raping the shareholders who bought for a pound and were given one chance to take 1/2p a share or nothing - he has been repaid his loans firstly, and his input of personal cash has been miniscule in comparison to his wealth. As a true fan if I happened onto that type of coin I would certianly be investing more. Jack Walkers legacy to Wankburn Rovers has been one of a true fan - and he's bloody dead! I accept the game is profit based nowadays, but even so...come on get your hand in your pocket...better still Gartside and Davies for the death penalty...they still have it in Manxland...
