Another problem with modern football, the fascination of possession over product means that all the most talented and technical midfielders sit in deep and get the ball of the centre backs and keeper instead of strikers and wingers
You mean an inverted winger coming off the wing by cutting inside and shooting? We never do that…… oh wait.
Nah, to be fair the difference was how quickly they do it. I feel like in the same position, or winger would be slowing things down and the appetite for the team mates to get into the box wouldn’t be there. We’re very pedestrian
If you’re as lazy as Gale, you better be fucking good. Taylor looked like an absolute moron then, but he probably feels like he needs to do that line by himself
Are we not playing a bit of a 4-3-3? I know it’s difficult to tell, because of how bad it is, but I had it down as Sheehan as pivot, with Simon’s left CM / Morley is right CM and Forss / Gale either side of Dalby
Wow. That was awful. Walking football. The drop off in intensity in the last few weeks has been absolutely incredible. The all look fed up and they’d rather be somewhere else.
They’re stood still with the ball in the middle of the park and when we lumber over eventually to do a half press they pop it around us. The shape is awful and the intensity is just… well, there is none.
I’m nowhere near having a new manager to be honest. I think he’ll come good for us.
We’ve had to sacrifice a bit of technical ability for some size and whilst they’re not aggressive enough right now, I think a few more additions we’ll get there.
I thought Tutu was the best defender we had today. Only one to commit to tackles and made a couple of important blocks. He was quite aggressive, especially in the first half.
But I would agree that a top RB if there’s one available should be secured
Glad we got out of there with a point, but Jesus that was messy, disjointed, scrappy.. We conceded way too many big chances and hardly created a thing. It was a bit concerning
