Another problem with modern football, the fascination of possession over product means that all the most talented and technical midfielders sit in deep and get the ball of the centre backs and keeper instead of strikers and wingers
-
You mean an inverted winger coming off the wing by cutting inside and shooting? We never do that…… oh wait. Nah, to be fair the difference was how quickly they do it. I feel like in the same position, or winger would be slowing things down and the appetite for the team mates to get into the box wouldn’t be there. We’re very pedestrian
-
Only 3.5 more years on his contract to be fair
-
If you’re as lazy as Gale, you better be fucking good. Taylor looked like an absolute moron then, but he probably feels like he needs to do that line by himself
-
Are we not playing a bit of a 4-3-3? I know it’s difficult to tell, because of how bad it is, but I had it down as Sheehan as pivot, with Simon’s left CM / Morley is right CM and Forss / Gale either side of Dalby

Wow. That was awful. Walking football. The drop off in intensity in the last few weeks has been absolutely incredible. The all look fed up and they’d rather be somewhere else. They’re stood still with the ball in the middle of the park and when we lumber over eventually to do a half press they pop it around us. The shape is awful and the intensity is just… well, there is none.
-
But right now it’s fuckin frustrating and I’m reaching the end of my tether with a few players
-
I’m nowhere near having a new manager to be honest. I think he’ll come good for us. We’ve had to sacrifice a bit of technical ability for some size and whilst they’re not aggressive enough right now, I think a few more additions we’ll get there.

America’s going to end up in an axis with Russia and China aren’t they.

The millennium Hilton in BKK is superb
-
I’m not being a pedant, I’m just making sure you don’t miss kick-off.. it’s a 12pm kick-off
-
I thought Tutu was the best defender we had today. Only one to commit to tackles and made a couple of important blocks. He was quite aggressive, especially in the first half. But I would agree that a top RB if there’s one available should be secured
-
Glad we got out of there with a point, but Jesus that was messy, disjointed, scrappy.. We conceded way too many big chances and hardly created a thing. It was a bit concerning
-
Literally can’t fucking kick or head the ball straight. Sniffs off 3-4 nil this
-
Pathetic
-
This refs a cunt too. Letting their captain dictate the game by being a cheating little prick
-
In the words of Mick McCarthy…. “Oh we can” (slightly paraphrasing)
-
Im Not sure by looking at us today you could say our players are better technically. We’re quicker and more athletic but they have players who can play in tighter areas, find feet and control the fuckin thing
-
Doesn’t help that they can’t trap a bag of cement today. Like they’re wearing trampolines. The ball control from everyone has been really bad today. First and second touches. Midfielders chasing their touches and forwards can’t get the thing under control. That by Forss the was pathetic. He’s got 25-30 yards of space and he fucks his first touch and trips over it on his second. Has to go back and they we fuck up the next pass.
-
We could be 4-0 down here. We are shit at defending the box. Shit in both boxes actually.
-
I must admit I don’t fancy us today, but that’s nothing to do with the selection or shape, it’s just because we are away from home and I never expect us to win on the road.
-
Think the bingo machine thing is unfair. A LOT of footy been played recently and a lot more to come this month. It’s inevitable he’d have to make changes and I think it’s a positive thing that players who have let him down, will find themselves out of the team. If they’ve react positively, work hard and improve, then great. If they sulk and moan then they can simply fuck off
-
More likely Burstow on the wing, with Forss in the #10
-
Aye, away from home he’s looked like his feet are on the wrong legs on a few occasions. Hes inconsistent but that’s probably why he’s not playing at a higher level. Whats the solution to avoid Burstow being more isolated? Do we play on the counter? Are we strong enough defensively to do that? Again, as mentioned we’re a top full-back away from being able to change shape away from home to maintain solidity and offer support to Burstow, but we don’t have that.. what do we do in the interim period? Fuck knows…

My son’s coach put a poll on the WhatsApp group asking if we wanted to continue training and get a friendly or 2 on, or have a break. He was hoping for the latter. To his surprise it was almost overwhelmingly in favour of getting a couple of games on. He didn’t 😂
