  1. I’m not sure. He had an impact in the run in, but we have to consider his previous run at this level, where he was apparently even more underwhelming than he was for half of his spell here. As much as I like him and he seems like a good character, there’s a good chance we can upgrade on him. As well as a few others. Including and not limited to, the goalkeepers
  2. My god. I’ve taken a few snippets from that and can only assume you’re spoiling for an argument. So I’m not going. To entertain you. Other than to tell you that you’re way off the mark. many thanks. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  3. Tutu has been a really good signing for us and as mentioned, he’s made that RB spot his own. Class throughout the playoffs
  4. Brilliant that. I always believed we’d be capable of winning, but I thought if there was a pumping to be handed out, it’s more likely we’d be receiving one that giving one. I concerned myself far too much all week with their strengths but in hindsight we simply have better players in most positions. They’re just a very functional side. Flew out of the traps and the. Just….. stopped! Don’t know if was nerves, or players trying to manage the game by reserving some energy, but Stockport were buoyed by the disallowed goal and then deservedly got their equaliser. second half we were excellent. We won every tackle, won every header and eventually just suffocated them. One of the most complete performances of the season and could have been more by the end. Brilliant day. I’m still fuckin knackered
  5. No. I’m not saying the club tries to sell preteenagers. I’ve not read my post back, but don’t know where I have insinuated that we use that as a method(?) What the club do, is sign promising young footballers into their ETC and academy system. In the hope that they can play for the first team in the future, or can be sold on for decent money when they’re a bit older. The best ones, we often lose quite early to other clubs. Who have better facilities, better resources and have elite academy status. It’s usually via their parents. The B team model looked like it had a negative impact and some blurred lines between the academy and the first team pathway. But I’d did unearth some players who did and have made appearances in the first team. So it’s clear we have a talent pool even with boys being taken by the likes of City, United, Liverpool etc. Imagine if we could protect ourselves better from them?! And yes, money can and often does change hands for 12, 13, 14 year old kids.
  6. We’ve just been past a few coaches of impeccably behaved Stockport fans rolling their eyes at our half naked piss-bus. They probably think we’re dicks. We think we’re just having a good time supporting our team. As the kids say; there are levels to this
  7. @Sluffy I’m talking about 11/12/13 years here by the way. Not scholars
  8. Isn’t one of the issues that we DO have talented youngsters that we lose to early and too cheaply?
  9. £7 a pint is prettt standard most areas ain’t it? It’s about that in the woody for a pint of Asahi
  10. I refer to myself in the third person
  11. A small selection. If it gets any hotter I’ll be drinking the suncream
  12. I think that’s because generally teams go ahead and sit in, play on the counter and surrender possession that way. So it could be 50/50 until the last 20 minutes then the team chasing the game has more of the ball. that was certainly the case v Oxford
  13. TW. Backs gone! We got him a sports massage from an injury specialist but all it did was give him an ard-on
  14. One available coach ticket from Stocks in Walkden. £55 return if anybody’s interested
  15. He seems like a cracking lad. A shame it’s the last time we’ll see him in a Bolton shirt. Hopefully he goes out in memorable style
