  1. She said she'd like to bathe in milk He said alright sweetheart And when he finished work one night He loaded up the cart He said you wanted pasturised 'Cause pasturised is best She says Ernie I'll be happy If it comes up to me chest And that tickled old Ernie (Ernie) And he drove the fastest milkcart in the west
  2. No wonder the're in the shit.
  3. What impresses me about Evatt & Markham is the constant upgrading of the squad. Sometimes the incoming player is only a small improvement on their predecessor but an improvement nonetheless. The higher we climb the more you realise that some players who could do a good job for us at L2 /lower end L1 won't make the transition to where we're going next, top end L1/Lower Championship, our poor autumn run has demonstrated this. Doyle, Sarcevic, Brockbank, Politic, Crawford, et al. Not their fault, sometimes it's a bad injury (Politic), age (Doyle) or attitude as much as lack of talent. This window has been all upgrades and a new LWB wouldn't surprise me, because Liam Gordon - who has improved - isn't going to a higher level with us. So if we can afford to move him on and replace with better then that's great news.
  4. Had the pleasure of watching him score most of his 26 tries in the Championship winning 1981/82 season and for GB. I used to get the 582 most nights to Leigh to visit my (now) wife. Des would be on it at least 2 nights a week presumably going to evening training. Think he got on near the Morris Green Lane/St Helen’s Road junction from memory. 63 is no age.
  5. Des Drummond RIP Brilliant for Leigh and great in Superstars.
  6. Amaechi seems made of glass. Delf at the Exit door. Politic Gone Leaves Dapo, Dadi, Dion, Baka, Kachunga (when fit) & Sadlier competing for 2/3 starting slots. Feels about right.
  7. Thought this thread was about Stuart Lee and that he had popped his clogs. Never heard of Stewart Lee.
  8. Dhanda is out of contract in the summer, so a loan would fit our modus operandi. 23 and played 50 games at Championship level. But if it's additional to Dempsey does not make a lot of sense. I'd rather the second signing was an upgrade in the centre of our defence.

  10. Just to GK Coach, but presumably no longer registered.
  11. Been some clear out from our starting squad this season. Presume Doyle, Sarcevic and Crawford were amongst our top earners. Doyle Sarce Crawford Comley Brockbank Gilks with Edwards, Greenidge and Politic at the exit door. Not sure they will be the last before deadline day. Expect Alexander, Darcy & Senior to go back out on loan, possibly Hutchinson as well.

    Boro not backing down https://www.mfc.co.uk/news/club-statement-derby-county
  13. Politic back on the bench for Port Vale today. Came on with 22 mins to go and Vale 1-2 down. They immediately conceded another and 1-3 was the final score. His BWFC career looks over. Edwards Southport conceded 3 at home to Solihull Moors in the FA Trophy. Barnet and Reiss Greenidge let in 4 at home to Chesterfield. Hopefully a few youngsters will go out on loan this month.
  14. James Trafford Citeh Goalkeeper https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-city-transfers-trafford-bolton-22719735
  15. TrickyTrotter replied to Horwich's topic in Terrace Talk
He was in and out of the Lancaster side when on loan. Not kicked on and Hutchinson now clearly ahead of him.
  16. Hopefully a place on the bench or another loan at a higher level for Hutchinson.
  17. Doyle gone. -official https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2022/january/doyle-thanks-for-everything/
  18. Who's the imposter pretending to be Delfounso?
  19. Current state of play with loanees. Dennis Politic is on a season long loan to Port Vale - we know he has recall clause but IE shows no sign of exercising it, and like us Port Vale have hardly played in the last 3 weeks. Reiss Greenidge is on a season long loan to Barnet. He wasn't in today's match squad but has featured regularly - he's out of contract at the end of the season and he ain't coming back. Liam Edwards is on loan at Southport to this coming weekend (8/1). Can see it being extended again or another loan. Another one out of contract come June. Luke Hutchinson has featured regally for Colls, his youth loan ends this month. Likewise Jay Fitzmartin's loan at Stalybridge ends this month. He has been out injured for a couple of months, so can see an extension or a new loan. Can only realistically see Hutchinson being here next season.
  20. Crawford gone. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/19821421.bolton-wanderers-midfielder-ali-crawford-joins-st-johnstone-permanent-deal/
