  1. I robbed them off the serfs who worked our land.
  2. Ken hates Brown but many in the tory party are really worried if Boris gets in and shows himself to be the bumbling clown he is. Not a good precurser to a Tory g'vt. Still the reason why he's doing very well because he's got one of the world's best spin doctors behind his campaign, the Australian Lynton Crosby. How has tried to turn him away from his loveable English eccentric routine and done it well. Ken has , once again almost self destructed will his ill advised attacking of the Standard - and Andrew Gilligan - a self described lefty who had been firing broadsides against Livingstone throughout for croneyism and being bascially arrogant and thickheaded. This is the first mayoral election I've not been able to vote in and at the moment just couldn't call it but overall it'll be large losses for Labour with the same old of the Tories claiming the massive victory and Labour saying its not as bad as it could have been. The saddest thing is that people use this vote as a way of saying something to central government when people should be voted on local issues. I have no problem voting any of the parties if they will tackle my local issues of residents parking, free wheelie bins etc etc yawn....
  3. Being posh I have two, Antony James
  4. Very funny man, sadly missed. Spoke to him last year and he wanted to get another date at the theatre confirmed as he didn't supposed he had too long left, then had a good chuckle about it. Lovely man and always delivered a full house with little or no work. RIP Humph!
  5. I'm not going anywhere, son.
  6. Woooo get you.
  7. (and don't think I haven't noticed your signature, comrade) just doing my bit, comrade!
  8. The Roses at their last Manchester gig the day before xmas eve. Brown came on and said 'What Do You Want For Christmas?' At the climax of I Am the whole palce was blasted with fake snow. Superb!
  9. 30mb classic has been fine for two years, Touch looks nice but I'm always nervous about new things from Apple. Got the iPod mini when it first came out in America and it was shite, got better and better models very quickly. Classic looks good, and my phone is better than a Touch for yer interweb stuff. Still with the shite that most people listen to on here you'd be better off with two tin cans and a bit of string.
  10. Yeah but people keep trying to slot 2ps into his head. Wasn't pretty.
  11. Ah so that's how he got his school nickname, Spazzy As.
  12. Did the nasty teachers upset you at Smithills As?
  13. Its only the NUT on strike the other teachers unions thought the pay deal fair (well, didn't want to strike about it at least). Just shows there are more NUT members in Liverpool and some NUT members voted for no action but didn't want to go against the union. Still, there are a lot of teachers in school today catching up on paperwork!
  14. Of course its your right, whoever said it wasn't? Christ you nationalists are a bit touchy.
  15. Read his new book, its about how to celebrate being English, and what it means to be English, without the same old retoric. That's what the England, Half English refers to. Stop jumping to bloody conclusions.
  16. Actually, he's celebrating just as much as you Bragg celebrates St George's Day
  17. Real Name: Howisco Screen Name: Crawlundo Both pap
  18. Now that makes even less sense. How can you celebrate being English without history and heritage? As for the last bit, oh the irony.
  19. Glad to know someone doesn't want me to fcuk off and die
  20. That doesn't actually make any sense, but I'll let it go. Have you ever read about what happened at St Peter's Field? Or indeed any British history or are you just piecing the bits of British history you agree with and calling it heritage?
  21. Fine. Couldn't give a flying fcuk to be honest.
  22. Fcuking bonkers that northern working class folk knock Peterloo but celebrate a mythical man killing a dragon. Should be ashamed, this is directly your history and heritage.
  23. That's how you get a neo-con government and end up with Bush
  24. Ah, that's the crux of it isn't it. Many white working class folk feel that they are being pushed to the margins. There is a general feeling that on the news and political agenda the rights of the minority are always top of the pile, an idea which is stoked up by the media to a fever pitch to make you believe that you can't fly a flag, or have a different opinon which is patently rubbish. I don't think you or anyone else spouting this nationist clap trap is racist inherently I think that its a reaction to a fear of the cultural other which has happened time and again throughout history. You only have to look back as far as the mid 80s when the NF was on the rise to capitialise on the fears that those from the Windrush generation from the West Indies were going to 'swamp' Britain. It didn't happen, there are still jobs, pubs, roast beef etc. Today its the global fear of Islamic extremism, of which only a tiny but vocal, percentage of Muslims support and once again the NF under a more user friendly name and more media savvy communcations department, British National Party, is on the rise. Like the NF in the 80s there is a real danger of them taking significant political gains. Days like this supporting the issues you name above only help support this cause and help the spread this fear of an unknown. No problem with St George's day but it shouldn't be about the non problems you list above
