European Qualification
just glad that 2 others picked the Champs League! positive thinking. if you all touch your screen at 17:35 and hum "Champions League, we're having a laugh" - the force will be spiritually transferred into the team and management - and the 4th berth will be ours! Oh yes. I see it now.

"Another Burnley fan, who ran onto the pitch at half-time during the same game, was also banned from football matches for three years. The court heard how 20-year-old Shaun Foxcroft, who was working as a barman at the club at the time, invaded the pitch because it was his dream to score a goal against Blackburn at Turf Moor." Quality. Do you reckon the goal would have stood though?

If you could.......
I'd like to go back to Tranmere at Wembley and get the right result this time. It ruined my life back then.

FA Cup fever
Thought it was Smith that got sent off. It was definitely Keown. Twas a League Cup tie that one. But enjoyable all the same.

I forgot to add in my frenzy....
add something along the lines of this.... (which I posted elsewhere). i) Gartside is very shrewd with the clubs money - only spending if he has to, and at that, only when a cut-price deal comes around. ii) The fans decide to be shrewd with their own money - only attending matches they really have to, choosing to miss a home-banker against a non-descript team, saving their admission fee for a more interesting fixture. Does that not equate to the same? He takes gambles by not spending big - and its frequently worked. We have taken a gamble by holding out for a more glamourous cup tie - and its worked!

I didn't know Pacman drank Guinness. I thought he'd be a "Bud" man. Also, the guy in the sunglasses - is he wanking off that guitar?

BOBCATS LETTER TO THE BEN...........A Quality read
Agree with most of that. Almost every point. I park behind the Beehive and have a 10-15 minute jaunt for most home games - this after a 20-40 minute drive from home (dependent on traffic). The trains are normally as packed as Bobcat makes out - which on a hot summers day is bloody traumatic. Against Spurs recently I queued under the East stand for a hot chocolate with my daughter. We left our seats with 10 minutes of the first half still to play and returned with 15 minutes of the 2nd half already played. 25 minutes out of the 90 missed! This missed football equates to approximately ??10-??15 of the admission cost. And they didn't even have any hot chocolate available... only some piss-poor excuse for coffee. Yes they had sugar to make it sweet.... but no feckin' stirrers! Each week the stewards tell us to sit - whilst the away support stands. Hello? Should there not be one rule for all here? Now then, I don't have an opinion one way or the other about families. Yep, I took my daughter against Spurs - a one-off - and how feckin' difficult is it to get seats for one match together? Not a problem with terracing. Though it would be preferable to get all families into one section... and in doing so, get some of the "lads" out of the North Stand and into the East. I only presume they go in the North cos its cheaper - so PG needs to address this. I think they may well print an edited version of this letter.

FA Cup fever
Never forget 10,000 of us singing the Munich songs at Old Trafford in 1991. And winning at Anfield, Goodison and Highbury. But the greatest moment had to be when George Oghani scored a last minute equaliser at Halifax. Mayhem on the pitch. Tannoy asked the HOME FANS to stay behind at the end! Back to ours for a replay. Extra time - a pitch that was absolutely fecked. And another draw. Back to the Shay for a 2nd replay - which we won comfortably.

Stag do in Berlin
You'll love it out there - all those rugs! Make sure you get booked into the Presidential Suite at the Burj Al Arab. I've got a wedding in St. Petersburg (Russia not Florida) in April. Hoping it clashes with the FA Cup so I have a valid excuse this time!

And another thing....
Liverpool didn't even sell out a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE CUP TIE at Anfield tonight. Would they have sold playing AC Milan or Real Madrid? I reckon so. But Bayer Leverkusen just didn't pull in the crowds. Will the Anfield hierarchy slag off their own fans in the local press tomorrow?

End Of Season Do - Stayaway Fans Only
Las Vegas? With the money we can save by not attending crappy cup ties - we can put the money saved to good use. None of this working men club crap in Horwich - a trip to Caesars Palace in Vegas? ST can organise - he's been before - knows Pierce Brosnan by all accounts! We could even fly out before the cup final and watch the Wanderers most glorious moment from the comfort of our high class hotel.

Players that almost made it.....
David Reeves. Took him a long time to start scoring. Then after a rocket start to the 91/92 season when he bagged 15 goals before Christmas, he got injured. During his recuperation Walker and McGinlay joined the club and Reeves was left with no alternative but to move on. He never lacked effort.

poor attendance poll
I don't think its cos they are our bogey team. I did not stay at home because I thought we would lose. That would be sacriledge. But the match with Fulham did not rock my boat. Sorry. A well-hyped cup tie with Derby would have whetted my appetite and got me up to the Reebok. I think they would certainly have sold between 4k-6k of tickets - that would have bolstered the crowd to 21,000. And I think many more Bolton fans would have made the effort - for a more attractive game - one which would probably have captured the whole essence of the FA Cup. So we could realistically have seen a crowd of 24,000+. Easy.

Gartside can't have it both ways
Some good points by Tyler. The missing point though was this: i) Gartside is very shrewd with the clubs money - only spending if he has to, and at that, only when a cut-price deal comes around. ii) The fans decide to be shrewd with their own money - only attending matches they really have to, choosing to miss a home-banker against a non-descript team, saving their admission fee for a more interesting fixture. Does that not equate to the same? He takes gambles by not spending big - and its frequently worked. We have taken a gamble by holding out for a more glamourous cup tie - and its worked!

1/4 FINALS
I'll be there.... at the local pub watching it! Saving my money for the semis and the final. Well definitely the final - might skip the semis if I don't fancy it.
