From the sounds of it Lee is the man ! Has i've said all along Left it late again, but that sounded a belter , i heard the boo's when Gardner came off for Lee , but well done Bolton. Hopefully we can gain some confidence for the Brum game and that goal for Elmander could be the lift he needed.

He's to scared to lose, and has no ambition to win. It's all about defend defend defend and hope we get lucky by hitting long balls all the time and hoping K.Davies wins the flick on. We made it 1-1 against Stoke and what do we do, let Stoke come at us and defend, and almost lose doing so. He sets out the team to defend at all costs and it's making fans fed up. We are a football club but don't play football, it's ugly, boring, non entertaining, uninspiring, no skill football, IMO we don't have the manager[obviously] players or style to play well or at least keep the ball on the ground and have some variety. It won't change, BWFC is in a bad place at the moment, and change is needed, Megson will never change, it's not his fauly he's just not good enough. People say cheer the lads, and yes that's what players like, a 12th man you could say, but it's got to a point were many fans feeling for Megson are getting in the way of giving full support for the team. If players need extra confidence, what will this make them do? play a better long ball? play at a better tempo? a better throw in? a better set piece? that's all Bolton do at the moment. When do we score from open play? attack attack attack? have a winning streak? keep the ball on the floor ? give strikers support? when do we ever put a couple of players up the field when the opponents have a corner? when do we has fans go home and say " Bolton played well today" Yes i'll agree it's a buisness ,but what we are seeing is embarrasing, i see better at sunday league, it's my care/love for the club that makes it hurt so much. It's so disheartening every time a long ball or whack is made, it's just boring to watch the same stuff every game all the time.

I would play pace , Yong and M.Davies are our best 2 passers IMO, West Ham give teams space to play. If we can get Yong and Gardner on the ball we might see summat exciting for once. And for football reasons, i hope we absolutely thrash West Ham, they deserve it for what happened against Millwall. And of course i want us to well in the competition [without Megson of course ]

Does anyone find themselves nodding there head in disappointment every time a long ball or a hesitated clearance is made by a Bolton player, feeling sorry for yourself, looking up to the sky silently thinking this is repetitive rubbish that no team in the the 'top league in the world' should be playing. I support my club, but i do not support this manager or the football we play. If Megson is gonna be to scared to play attacking football or even play a good formation against Stoke, what are we expected to hope for the remainder of the season Yes the football under Sam was not pretty but nothing as bad as this. Remember okocha's 1st season, that was the most entertaining games i've seen, yes we lost quite often and could of got relegated but at least we could go home knowing we had seen some attacking football and some magic. Now all we see is long ball after long ball, set pieces and grafters and defenders who smack it every bleeding touch. Yes i might be having to high expectations, yes i might be asking for to much, but BWFC is what i talk about most ,the club i've grown up to support, but i will not let this get in the way and pretend everything is fine. More negatives than positves. We finished last season on 41 points , the season before then we somehow survived, mainly due to a late run of results and other teams messing up, before the Pompey win we hadn't won a game of football for over a quarter of a season. 4 points from the games we have had , on paper is not good enough, like i said before if we don't beat Birmingham and with the October games coming up , we will be just like what we had when Sammy Lee got sacked. Megson is never going to change and our style will never change. People have already made up there minds, Megson will have to make Bolton go on a massive unbeaten run or even win a cup to get them on his side[maybe im exagerrating] , Some fans chant Ginger Mourinho , some fans get excited when we win a throw in. For me i go to the game because it's what iv'e been doing since my dad took me when i was a kid, do i get the same excitement for getting up and watching them, i dunno, sometimes i do but mostly it's obvious the way we are gonna play and i see better at sunday league. We are labelled as' little old Bolton' and probly over achieved with the likes of UEFA Cup football and good end of season finishes in the past , but surely this can't get in the way of the fact that at this present time we play the most atrocious football and are one of the most negative teams in the game. I can't understand why there has been no change or even effort to make things better, we spent our money on players we didn't need or players that haven't really improved the 1st team or even play[enough to make a difference on a time average] /start the good players we have signed. Some will hate my views, i would like these people's opinions because im completely stuck for any positives at the moment.

I know a lot of people on here may of seen worse [not the football, you can't get worse than this!] but this is becoming a joke. At home against a poor team especially away from home and Megson sets out the team to play 4-5-1 and defend. For me i know this team can't play good football so i never booed, we simply don't have the players manager or style to play well. All the time our defenders just lump it in the air, that's not a skill it's pathetic, there hoping to get lucky and K.Davies 'may' win the ball. Do they not understand we don't appreciate this kinda football, why are we always negative! it's embarrasing and an absolute borefest to watch, yes Bolton are our team who i hope we all care for, but this is the same 1 dimensional rubbish each week each game. Why can't we pass on the ground or even score an open play goal. I don't know how long Megson has left, but it must very close to ending? i dunno. He doesn't do him self any credit, i mean if he started 4-4-2 with Gardner or Lee instead of McCann[ why do we need him] and played Steinsson at right back then the majority of the blame on the players. Does he think he's gonna stop people booing if he's setting out to defend and put Davies up top [who usually go off to the wing] and carry on with this style.Why did he buy Lee [ he's not featured for 3 games, he was the most promising signing of the season! and impressed when he's been given time] In our last 2 games we have somehow got 4 points, last week we were given 2 disputed goals and today we deserved to lose, any home team playing like that does, but got a definate penalty that only covers the cracks. After Birmingham we have a very difficult October, games like Stoke, Hull, Sunderland is were we need 3 points, i just wish we could go all the way back to December 31st 2006 , our problems started after that 3-0 loss to liverpool on new years day 2007. It's not even enjoyable anymore A really bad start to the season once again, and nothing has changed, our defending was supposed to be better , we are surely not in a transitional period anymore but still Megson sticks to playing ugly. I will pay my money to watch, but are Bolton value for money, no! it's a real shame.

What a difference that Cahill goal makes. Megson now gets a break for at least 1 more week and we can now build on this with confidence playing 2 games were we should be looking to get 6 points. It was an open game, some will say it wasn't a penalty or our 3rd goal was offiside, but who cares we got cheated against Liverpool, so this makes up for it. I don't get this Elmander is out so he replaces him with Steinsson , not a striker. Steinsson will be playing right wing even though we have lee Chung Yong. Steinsson should be be playing right back instead of Ricketts, if he's gonna be played.
