My missus bought me a coat from Bank in Oldham the other week, smart coat but didnt fit. So last week she returned it to the shop and was told she couldnt be refunded because the card she payed for it on was blocked and the money couldnt be put back onto it. Went to the bank (the money bank not the shop) and the cards fine! So.....we went to the trafford centre tonight to said shop only to encounter the same problem! We've been offered a gift card to spend the sum of money in store but i refused because i cannot understand why we cant be given the cash, why are people scared of cash these days?! The manager told me it is the law and theres nothing we can do about it, hes given me the number for customer services which is'nt open until monday. He also informed me i have 10days to get it sorted or we'll get nothing back. Advice please!
