traf, just to clarify this.... ~ 1/1/13 2 losing bets from 8? this means 2 favourites won from 8 races and they were 4.5 and 2.88pts on betfair? ~ Your upper limit of 4/1 is 5pts on betfair? ~ when you say strike rate do you mean that you expect 73 to 77% of favourites to lose?

the way I did it previously was to put up £20 on each race. i started by just laying the favourite but in the end i was spreading it across 2 or 3 runners. not sure if thats the way
-
i`m interested, i`m always interested in a system that makes money

i have a pal who plays bookie on betfair and makes a fortune. i had a wee go a few months back and I got wiped out quite quickly. i initially showed a decent profit (about 20% over 4 days) but my whole pot was wiped out on one bad day. i was trying to lay off favourites at first. then i switched to lay off 2nd & 3rd favourites any thoughts on lay betting traf?

lets get rid of everyone over 25 and bring a load of 12 year olds in

whats the alternative though? Game charge less when you buy online than they do in the store but you can only use gift cards in store, not online. So you check the price online, say £15, go to the store and suddenly its £25. that keeps them alive but it pisses me right off. which is worse? Not having competitive online prices or having a double price structure?

heres hoping. franny lee once said (just before he sacked brian from gorton) , you can only keep blaming bad luck for so long.

that one winds me up to fuck. also, people who have two points to make and start off with `point A` but they either never get to `point B` or they say `secondly` or `also` instead. its probably my grumpy old age but i find myself screaming at the radio `wheres fucking point B!`

Agree with others who say that the Liverpool match was the one that really set us off on the journey. There`s so many things about that night i`ll remember on my deathbed. Super John floating in mid air waiting for Lee`s cross, the stunned silence from the Scousers when Walker stuck the 2nd in, singing and dancing all the way back to the car, delirious Wanderers fans everywhere. I had an old tape recorder at home which I set to auto-record the last 20 minutes of Radio Scouse commentary. I listen to it sometimes. It still gives me goosebumps. The commentators were in absolute shock! Never been bettered, even at Arsenal or Everton or beating the Urinals twice in their own back yard or any one of the many Wembley trips I`ve been lucky to make.

its not about that though is it? if you were given that choice which would you pick? I`d say I`ll go about 8 times this season and watch the rest on telly cos its £62 rather than go to every game when it was £26 and not on telly. 8 times would probably turn into 4 times and then I`d lose interest and stop going completely. Then my lad wouldn`t go at all and he wouldn`t grow up with any interest in the club and they`ve lost a fan forever. Until the rich clubs fuck off into their inevitable super league and leave the rest of us to some level of normality then prices will continue in an upwards direction to pay the ridiculous wages that top players command.

It won`t change but the only stand to make is the `I`m not going anymore` stand which is more of a conscious decision to find something better to do rather than a revolt. I sometimes forget to even listen on Saturdays now which is sad but I just do other stuff and I know I`m not alone in that. £62 for fucks sake. Absolute bullshit

i stopped going regular some years back because of the cost. trouble is when they reach the tipping point they won`t be able to lure people back by knocking a few quid off. its all about peoples habits and routines, once you stop going and find other routines for your saturdays then its gone, they`ve lost you. not that they`re arsed. its all about the now isnt it. there`s just something very wrong about a business that pays 95% of its income out in wages

so having a quiet chat with your pals and watching the game means you`re having a shit time? people are different aren`t they? not everybody wants to listen to a group of intimidating grown men hurling insults. not everyone even has a pint. don`t know if that was the case this time, maybe not but i know at burnley on the opening day of the season i took my 10yr old with me and we were sat 4 yds away from a group of young lads about 20ish who spent the whole match screaming obscenities at anyone and everyone, using the most disgusting foul language you could imagine, swaying around blowing booze fumes in peoples faces.jabbing people in the ribs shouting `sing up you cunt`. if you are one of them people and you think you are doing us all a favour by `enhancing the atmosphere` well you`re not. singing is fine, being rowdy is fine, banter is fine, screaming `you cock sucking mother fucker, i hope you fucking die of aids, you fucking piece of fucking scumbag burnely shit` in front of 10 yr olds is not fine. its intimidating and unpleasant. theres a line somewhere and when you`re pissed you maybe misjudge it. i wasn`t there saturday so again not talking specifically about that.

i could, or i could just casually mention it. it is what it is i suppose, vote with your feet and all that. there`s a lot of the asian companies haven`t done it for years so i just presumed it was stopped. didnt realise they had done it voluntary

Depends if I celebrated Christmas. Someone told me that the council had barred them from doing it
-
Thought this had been stopped by Bolton council. Star Cars w/hton were at it from 6pm Christmas eve. Cheeky fekkers. £5 for 1 mile
-
Hilal was slightly higher up, i think its still an Indian isnt it? Sunar Gaw, Manchester Road - best curry house in Bolton
-
this is racist nonsense. come on lads have a (chicken) chat with yourselves

in top level boxing terms, 3 defeats at 26 = washed up personally i don`t detest him anyway, he`s just lost his way and its a shame. he`s a perfectly respectable, pleasant individual. i just wish he`d concentrated more on his boxing.
-
well thats a load of shit. he`s anything but over protected. i said he`s lost his way, he`s been given bad advice, he`s got carried away with it all and took the money. are those not good reasons? he could have been an all time great but he`s not. his poor choices mean he is virtually washed up by his mid 20`s but he`s rich if you had the ability to be a world great in your chosen sport or to take the short cut to pots of cash which would you take? how can you possibly compare him to ricky hatton? has ricky hatton underachieved? i don`t think so. i could be mischeivous and compare him to nazeem hamed but that might blow your `race`ometer up so i won`t

well that`s the point, his time has gone due to mis-management, poor decision making, poor opponent choice. he was on itv prime time, picking his way quite nicely up the rankings, becoming a household name and gaining a good reputation. his dad by his side with his shell suit, that big gap in his teeth and grey hair. next news, he`s bigging it up, sitting outside old trafford in his £100k car with blacked out windows and the stereo on full blast, running folk over in bolton town centre, popping up on sky pay per view and getting his arse kicked here, there and everywhere. while his dads dyed his hair jet black, had his teeth done and swopped the shell suit for a proper suit, swanning around with a heavy mob like he`s al capone. i was there when he won his world title and i felt really proud, even though half the MEN were cheering for the other bloke but he`s lost his way which is sad. if he wins i`ll be happy if he loses i won`t lose a minute over it. its just a shame really.
-
that fight should be on in Bolton Arena, not LA. lads lost his way big time. he could have been the star of ITV but he took the money and ran. still he`s laughing all the way to the bank which is better than being a boxing legend. isn`t it????? <shakes head smiley>

:: hahaha now that`s a top post
