  1. Now, geographically where does it start? I only ask because I was talking to my Dad tonight, who was the head of George Toms, and I was wondering which club the majority of his kids supported. Basically Bolton, but then if they went onto college (I know a stretch, but still) they'd go to Swinton, Salford etc So do those kids have much in common with the Dunscar/ Turton kids or are they closer to Blackburn fans? I'm from Smithills, and I'll admit that I only know Fatnworth because me mum is from there, Kearsley/ Little Hulton is another world. So, are south Boltonian's Mancs or are north Boltonians the true Lancashire Bolton fans? As for Horwich? Well, I can't legislate for new money.

Why? You never travelled anywhere but the north?
  3. Mine and Kent's band played there loads from 96 to 97, used to tune up in the pool hall above. Some decent crowds, best live band place in town for a few years. Hawthorns was the aftershow party place. The glamour. Still, the sound was better than the Hacienda if you had cheap equipment from Booths.

If you're having a half day, I would get off at Euston, take the Victoria line, few beers in Victoria. Three Bridges to the Snooty Fox ( loads of Mancs but don't let it put you off) walk to the Paymaster General roundabout where there is a pub, few in there and then taxi to the ground. If you want to go in town, get off at Crawley, turn left, walk directly ahead, as soon as you see The Glades shopping centre, turn left, passed the church and you're in the bar district. Usual fair, but the Punchbowl is the biggest pub, almost opposite Bar Med. It's all shit, but the weather is nicer and the local ladies might like some of you fucktards

Bar Med; that place is pretty grim. I think most people start out at the Punchbowl pub and work their way up the street to the various bars. The ground is near K2, the sports centre. Nothing much else round there, apart from a roundabout. As I say, it's nasty, so best stay in London longer, get the fast train to Southampton Central from Victoria, get off at Three Bridges station (takes 40 mins) and jump in a cab outside or order one from the Snooty Fox (typical station pub opposite) Once its over, get back to London as soon as you can.

Well that tie has cheered me up. Crawley is a shit night out; stay in London or go to Brighton. I should be able to spot Stanley, he'll be the self satisfied knuckle dragger
  10. One tries Smiffs, one tries.
  11. http://www.thecarpentersarmsw1.co.uk/pdf/specialmenus/thecarpentersarmstottenhamcourtroad-pilotcoreln0712sandwich-20120725.pdf Well not far off - and it's £6.50.
  12. Bolty, face it. You're as English as Vegemite.
  13. Throw in the word organic and hey presto it's and evening meal and £20 to you, good sir.
  14. Can't stand cyclists, they want to be noticed on roads, then jump through reds, hop on pavements and cut over cycle lanes. I alway open our gate outwards in the hope of catching one of the turds buzzing past the house. I never let the past on pavements, nor do I feckin move for them.
  15. They are served on a wooden board so obviously it's worth it.
  16. I like him because he annoys Maaarsh. For that reason alone he's ok.

I've flown Fly-be from Exeter to Manchester and it's cheap and quick. If you can do this then I'd say go.
  18. Ketchup?! Mayo at a push but always, always tartare sauce! The local pub near work sells them for £6.00 a pop.
  19. You should read Posessing The Secret of Joy by Alice Walker.
  20. Better stay like this for my trip back to Bolton later this week. Kids think it prementantly rain back home! Anyway, park done this morning, paddling pool up. Lovely.
  21. The wank got me from bed to shower, so it served it's purpose.
  22. He hasn't got a job, that's why.
  23. Fair fucks. Seems reasonable enough.
  24. Given it looks like Nora Batty, I'd say pre.
  25. All valid points well made Smiffs, and if we just had the one I would agree wholeheartedly. However, she's got a mewing, puking 8 week old and a 2 year old at home every day except Wednesday (which I why I went out) and then 5 year old comes home at 3.15. Honestly, I may be earning the money but it's easier to deal with client's than my kids sometimes. But one more coffee morning and I'll give you her number!
