  1. Do you mean he won the whole thing? Thats some going if he did, there where over 2 million teams last season. I am in, hoping to do better than last year, i got pissed off with it and stopped bothering.
  2. Santa Cruz or Bellemy for me, top money but what you save on transfer fee you can add to wage etc. At the moment they are looking like they will not even get a squad number so there must be some room for negotiation. However I think Mark Hughes will get in there on one or both when he gets the Fulham job.
  3. JUST CHECKED THE CALANDER AND THE MAY DAY WEEKEND IS ON SAT 30TH APRIL - MONDAY 2ND MAY SO IT WONT BE THE BANK HOLIDAY BUT AT LEAST THE WEATHER SHOULD BE GOOD SUNDAY KO OR NOT.
  4. Just had word from a friend ITK - Blackpool home 27th November Blackpool away 2nd to last game of season (last away of season) by my reconing that will be either the may day bank holiday weekend or the one after, either way the old bill will probably move to the Sunday as the Police have classed it as a C+ game (the highest catagory). If it is the bank holiday weekend then its an absolute jackpot! Confirmed Fulham away first game.
  5. ?? I meant that its mid week so most will have work the next day, its a phrase. Just a shame it was not on a Friday or Saturday so we could make a day/night of it. Fleetwood on the Friday night = big drink!
  6. Just a shame that Morcambe game is on a school night, saturday afternoon would have been perfect. Think the Fleetwood game on the Friday night will be the pick.
  7. Is Scotland not classed as home grown like Wales? If so Holden was born in Scotland and may have duel nationality.
  8. His contract runs out next summer so its shit or bust this year, if we keep hold of him and he fails then we wont get fuck all for him. I still think we could get ?2m for him now and I would take it.
  9. Wolves - 36 pts West Brom - 30 pts Bpool - 25 pts Going to be tougher staying up next season, we will really need a good start just so we are not bogged down in the shit early doors.
  10. It will be on Boxing Day at 12pm! Absolute guarantee! They hand pick local derbys around Christmas and the Old Bill even get a say, the last thing they are going to veto is a 3pm on a hot saturday in August. Wish it was mind! One of the lads that comes on with us used to play for Bpool and lives in Lytham so he knocks about with a load of there lads - he recons they are foaming at the mouth to play us above Munich, Liverpool everything they just want to smash our fans to pieces when we turn up at Bpool - women and children included! Revenge for 74 bollocks! Cant see it being that bad myself, they said similar when Wigan came up and Burnley. Be fuck all bother if its 12pm on Boxing day like they made the Burnely fixture.
  11. Bpool would be a cracking day out if it was 3pm on a sat but my money is on us getting them away on boxing day and the old bill will make it 12pm KO to curb the inevitable trouble.
  12. I was looking at the Sunday Times rich list a year or two ago and it said Trevor Hemmings had a share in both PNE and Charlton, I thought it was against the rules to have a stake in 2 league teams but apparently not. He got hammered with the credit crunch though, he was the largest private shareholder in RBS when they dropped through the floor. Even still he has enough lose change nocking about to keep the wolves from the door.
  13. I think so, him and McCann signed in 2007 from Villa both with 3 year contracts. I cant see McCann being here either next year - think he will be at Bpool if they come up.
  14. One of the lads that comes on with us is friends with a few German / Croatians who work for German SKY and are good mates with Klasnic, from what they where saying he wasnt to happy with the ammount of action he got under Coyle. Think he fancies playing for his boy hood team of St Pauli (in hamburg) who have just been promoted back to the Bundesliga. Cant see Taylor playing in Turkey???
  15. I saw the european attendances last week and it looked roughly double - I appreciate that it was not across a season. Match day advertising programmes / hoardings etc + additional revenues from food and drink + club shop + bookies etc would help bridge the massive discount. If the difference after that is ?2m then this represents either 3% - 4% of turnover or 3 places higher in the league. Just think more bums on seats would give us a better atmosphere and could potentially be the difference between a draw and a win and maybee an extra few points.
